    This is bullshit.

Why should I vote Democrat in order to vote against Republican?

I get to decide which issues are important to me. Not you or anyone else. There are a number of people on this forum that have told me I need to be voting Democrat because of their social platform. I call bullshit. Social issues are wedge issues to create the illusion of difference, and although social issues certainly matter to me, I'm more concerned with civil liberties, defense, the nation's food supply, spending and budget, and the simple ability to adhere to the constitution.

Both parties fail miserably in those respects.

I will not vote Democrat and I will not vote Republican. I will vote 3rd party when it is an option, but as I've explained to other posters, it's not an option on the presidential ticket in my state.

So what do you propose I do? What is your solution? Don't forget I've already said I will not vote Democrat so don't spit me any rhetoric about how I should be voting the lesser of two evils.

As a side note, I would like to add I have as much of a right to bitch about the state of the union as anyone else. I pay my taxes. On top of that I do my research and I remain aware of the issues really facing this country. And trust me, gay rights and equal pay for women are not the most threatening issues we face.

    I won't vote.

It's hard for me to care what politicians and pundits talk about. I believe that we're being conditioned into picking sides and fights. It's hard to differentiate if this is on purpose or if it's everybody being stupid. Probably both.

I just go about my day supporting my family, but read up on news and politics out of habit. It pisses me off.

I do know that we're so deep in bad policies and crooked politics we'll never get out until REAL change happens.

I can see of course why you and others would not vote Democrat either. Wouldn't voting on a 3rd party, despite the lack of immediate consequences, at least send a clear message though? Especially if every person in the States who doesn't vote because they feel kind of hopeless would vote for a (or even better: the same) 3rd party?

If I register to vote I'm up for jury duty though.

    Fuck that.

I wanted to answer the question posed in the title of this thread too. I don't think all presidents are neccessarily evil. I think Romney probably is a slick, evil bastard and its possible Obama started out his political career with good intentions. But I think both candidates are slaves to the marketplace.

Our politicians are corporate owned. It doesn't really matter if the individual candidate is evil. It matters who pays for their campaign financing and who dumps the most money into lobbying.

I'm all for voting 3rd party, provided I agree with their stance. I do vote 3rd party in most elections, but I'm mainly talking about the presidential election. My state doesn't put 3rd party on the ballot. I don't know why, but its never been an option. They don't offer the option for write-in either.

I've always voted Democrat on the presidential ballot in the past but this year I'm not casting a vote for either candidate.

I always thought jury duty would be kinda fun.

I'm in the 47% that sucks YOUR money out of the government for my benefit. Almost half of us are victims and please, please please keep the welfare coming. Romney, you dumb son of a bitch.

Yeah, well I'd like to get any of those motherfuckers on the roof for a half day. The ones that have never done an honest days work in their lives. The ones that make millions shuffling papers. That ship jobs overseas and then bitch about people being too lazy to work or find a job. ("only the little people pay taxes"=Leona Helmsley).

It's good that many of you are not going to vote, because if you don't the Teafucks will decide the election. That'll work out great for us.
Sure--the Rothchilds, the Rockefellers,Bilderberg, etc, and the rest of that cabal run everything behind the scenes. So what? There's not anything we can do about that. But what we can do is stop Romney and his ilk from exacerbating the shit storm they've caused at least for a while. Oh,they'll win in the end. They're relentlessly forming this country into their ideal--2% owning most everything and the rest of us selling plaster statues or some such ,along the side the road like grown men have to do in Mexico. AAhhh--I'm just pissing in the wind anyway. Fuck it.
