Your right. Maybe i should make the peace sign more often, maybe it will stop the slaughter of men, women and children in distant lands.
Sure, we each can have our individual peace, but unfortunately this world is not about peace. There is only one way to true peace.
and you're not living it. You've read about it, you say your faith is strong because of your reading, yet you're not living it. Well... There's your problem right there. (I didn't use a meme this time)
I live in peace and there are no wars around me. Of course, still various crimes but i am not blind to what is happening in the world. There is no peace. Let me look up how many wars are going on..brb.. There are tons of wars..according to this website the United states is involved in 134 warshttp://www.mintpressnews.com/us-now-involved-134-wars/196846/ We are not even close to peace.
Peace is great. I wish for peace for the world every waking moment but i also recognize from history that peace is not on the horizon. Religion is a huge cause for the divisions among mankind and much bloodshed. Also, pride, revenge and selfishness play the hugest part. In order for peace ever to be achieved on this earth. One thing has to be rooted out of every heart: hatred.
Achieve world peace and everyone just breeds like rabbits and we all die of global warming The only logical answer is buttsex, lots and lots of buttsex Then no one is angry ( after the first time ) and we all have enough room to go rollerblading
This thread is a tad on the ridiculous side. I'm generally not a hopeful or faithful person and even I believe harmony is possible. *Further comments withheld*
love makes you feel good, and hate screws up everything, but what you really need, if you want to live in a less screwed up world, is mindfulness, consideration, the avoidance of taking for granted prevailing assumptions, especially when they contradict what can observe directly yourself, the avoidance of taking for granted that anything "can't hurt anything", in other words, universal consideration, not narrowed by nor to rank, species or even world. supposedly the idea of all you need is love, is that it would motivate this kind of consideration. well that would be wonderful if it did. but too many things called love, whether eros or agape, just don't. love AND universal consideration. that. paying attention to the kind of conditions your real priorities actually create.
no more so, the "all you need is" x. (where x = any one thing) but if there were one thing, that came closest to being "all you need", that one thing, would be universally mutual consideration.
a nice song, with the implication consideration would come from it, and peace of course would come from that. life isn't REALLY that simple. it IS a wonderful thought. and it COULD come a lot closer to it. i remember it at the time it was new. and the context in which it was.
