Peter, for a spiritual to be so judgemental is not good.

What you dismiss as silly is someone doing everything they possibly can to avoid the loss of life. If after all their efforts, some poor insect is crushed at their feet, you cannot blame them. For those of us who walk carelessly, paying no heed to what we kill on the way, a certain amount of blame can be assigned, but not to such people who do all they can to avoid it.

"Peter, for a spiritual to be so judgemental is not good."

I wasn't being judgemental I was stating my opinion.

Did I not state that "I can see where they are coming from.."?

All people discriminate and judge anyway. Unfortunate as this may be.
