no problem It always astounds me some of the ideas some British and American people are fed +swallow about Russia. But there we are.. I remember some Westerners were all "lets kill a Commie".But I never recall any hatred from travelling Soviets I met.
So you'd say "its wrong to commit genocide" is subjective? Objective means a balanced view of *facts* in this situation. ie identifying factual concepts , lies and perversions of logic etc. - things its overwhelming clear that Bush etc are guilty of.
perhaps in this case. but a conversation like this wouldnt get too far if it was held in any average american classroom or place of business
I said ALMOST everything. Bush is certainly guilty, but its not like Putin is a saint. And she sarcastically asks if there is free media in America. Ummm...no...There's free media ONLY in Russia. Yeah right.
The Russians want a "strong" national media and leader. Its better than a prick like Yeltsin selling everything off to America and maniacs for pennies. She had a right to be sarcastic. The difference is , Russia doesn't dump shit on everyone else's doorstep. Why should an Icelander be left dirt poor cos of the scams that go on in the White House? Why should a Russian in the Crimea be told by Americans that he isn't a Russian?
i really dont care who's superior till i have my own peace and harmony inside... the fact that you talk about this shows what you are thinking about though i've been several times called ridiculous and subjective, also narrow-minded in this thread i'm sorry to say very few have managed to stay objective and what is far more important - polite and respectful for another human such a pity for the ppl living in modern "civilized" society and moreover - for those who spend their time here, in the forum called HIP-... i'm really surprised how easily and aggressive you react, taking into consideration only those of my words that can cause conflict (coz my general idea is still overseen) it reminds me of the idea of trained dogs...sorry however, everything has its pluses:some of the swear words reffered to me have been useful to me as for a person learning languages thanks! have alw been fond of american slang, even wanted to write diploma on that topic!
Well technically no.U can be objective about a situation.Or subjective. Objective doesn't mean "facts" , just balanced , or in accordance with universally accepted criteria etc.
One or 2 of em , remind me of West Ukrainians , Neponiatka. Not that I recognise the Ukraine as a sovereign country... Or America.. I call em "Indian botherers"
Uh, what? No it doesn't, objective means expressing an observation without attaching personal emotion. Therefor, saying that genocide is wrong, is coming from an opinion which is gathered from how one feels about genocide, a personal bias, also an emotion. And if history is worth anything, it reveals that MANY people apparently do not think genocide is wrong. Far from being an accepted universal opinion.
:toetap05: Honestly, Im not a fan of America, and if I wasnt born and bred in England, I'd probably not be a entire fan of the UK too. And although I disagree with saying that America should sort the world out, it has alot of power and it has misused it in the past. Course you can take what I say, and plot it against England.
