But you just said that you'd like to vote Libertarian, if not for the "wasted vote" effect. I'm confused.

    Pressed Rat,

The no vote is edging out the Independant early on. Do you think that if every person that's not voting voted for an Independant, it would have any effect? I'm not talkin about winning the election, but making some waves. I agree with your stance in regards to dem vs repubs, but if someone else started to pull in some votes I think that would be the best route for actual change. How many '3rd party' candidates get elected on any level of high government? Breaking the two party system is the best thing we can do right now. Being as Gary Johnson is the one other option that's on the ballot in all 50 states, what would it hurt to cast your vote on the Libertarian Ticket?

Don't be confused. I like some libertarian ideas--out of and staying out of foreign wars--and uh-I can't think of any other right now ,but there was a couple more. I'll vote for Obama to try and keep Ro-money out. Oh wait--removing cannibis from it's present status and expedite pardons for those convicted of non-violent drug offenses, abortion rights and marriage equality. So those ,I agree with.

But I wouldn't vote libertarian because in many ways ,they are repubs.

    I get that.

I would never vote for any of the lefty independents for much the same reason I suppose. Maybe if they had a clear shot at victory.....in the name of breaking the two party system. My entire family has always been republican dominated. However they are not the people most often depicted on such outlets as these forums. They would give the clothes off their back for anyone in need. In fact they have. We all have. My Grandparents would see someone on the street, and invite them into their home and give that person everything they gave their own children. Just because they don't think that it's the federal governments responsibility, or authority, to do such things does not in any way shape or form make them bad people.

That is in itself one of the biggest obsticles as a country, that we may never overcome. Those on this side of the line despise whoever is standing on the other. We are too busy worried about superficial obscurities that we never get to focus on the simple bear necessities (to quote the bear from jungle book. Balue was it?). There are good people of all walks of life, just because you have a different outlook than somebody else, doesn't automatically make them wrong. All assholes aside here, because there are also low life's of every walk of life.

Hussein Obama is just a puppet, a pr creation. The "good cop" in America's "good cop, bad cop" routine.

Romney is just scum, and should be dragged off to the Hague courts, then executed.
He hasn't done anything yet but its not hard to work out what he'd like to do.
Basically he never stopped playing with his action men toys.
Too many Americans haven't worked out that America doesn't actually rule the World, never will. And could quite easily be delivered a bloody nose, or more.

Nah man. It's all bullshit. The so-called electoral process in itself is a sham, and these third party candidates are mostly full of shit, too, since they apparently see themselves as being able to change the course of things through a farce like politics (which is just a stage show for the public to believe in anyway). People like Ron Paul and Gary Johnson say a lot of good things, but for me it goes no further than that. Breaking the two party system isn't going to happen because the media ultimately makes most people's decisions when it comes to who they vote for. In theory I am an anarchist, so I would be just fine with a no party system (or anti-system, rather). At this point I am finished with politics. It just ain't happening. I am not going to persuade or dissuade people to vote, but I am not even going there.

As far as the real election is concerned, there is no doubt that Obama will win. America is not stupid enough to vote dumbass Romney as president.
