That's good he's doing better. Catching it at stage 2 is actually fairly early. People used to die of this type of illness often within a matter of months after diagnosis. The decades following WWII produced many effective treatments. Chemo can be rough, but at least it saves lives. I have optimism for other avenues of cancer treatment in the future with less side effects, such as immuno-therapy. .
no doubt. one day tyler was healthy, within a week he had an ENORMOUS lymph node. they removed it completely. the scar isn't nearly as bad as dave's stepfather who was stage 3. he no longer has salivary glands. he has to use artificial drops to eat. joe's cancer was much worse, and he's healthy, but not totally clear. he still has to have treatment. poor tyler didn't have an extra ounce to lose, but somehow he did. he was skeletal, he couldn't stop throwing up. he ended up under ice blankets in the hospital for fever a couple times. i couldn't get near him with his baby sisters, whom he adores, because being new in the school system, they had one bug or another all the time. but even with missing all that school, he maintained a high GPA. though he's lashing out a bit now. going through all that as a teenager is rough.
No it was not the Iraquis, it was the Iroquois! They were really pissed off at what we did with their land, turning a nice little island into towering steel phalluses. So they decided they'd take it back, one building at a time!
KC, that is completely fucked. The cause must be environmental. First thing I'd check is the water supply (see my thread "Water, the Essence of Life" to find out how to check it). You REALLY need to research this soon, esp. if you are all living in the same place. Could be other factors in your immediate environment like air pollution or even radiation poisoning (ever check for radon in your house?). If your house is partly underground you should check for it. For three beings to get the same cancer is unheard of unless they are all exposed to the same toxins. The good news is there is a remedy if not a cure. MOVE FAR AWAY! Good luck with that!
yup, it's been reported. when the third entity who'd lived in one house go tthe exact same disease, at an unheard of age, of a different bloodline and in one case SPECIES than the other two who got the disease, everyone perked up. they informed the people who now live in the house. but personally, i think the entire four corners area is a massive cancer cluster. i'd never met anyone with anything but sun induced melanoma before. after moving to durango and then farmington there was cancer EVERYWHERE. it freaked me RIGHT the hell out, man. it's a huge agricultural community. goes right back to the pesticides and crap we discussed elsewhere. in addition, it's a massive natural gas patch. *shudders* and the water tastes like ROT. not as back as socal, but completely unacceptable after you've been drinking pristine water like up here. ugh. it was a nasty place to try to live.
I didn't know all of those details. I'm fortunate to live in a relatively clean area with clean water. .
I hate to admit it, but I agree with just about everything in the op. Sure there are exceptions to some things, but there is always an exception somewhere.
