80*13 = $1000+, that's about 40,000 a year if you count 2 months of not working while you are following the harvest hotspots.

I'd consider that pretty good money.

the new hire general laborer on the last farm she worked on was hired at 8 bucks a hour housing included,9 a hour if housing wasnt available..
    this was 7 years ago...

thats a average of 640 bucks a week before taxes with housing, meat, milk and utilities included..
after 90 days you got health insurance..

    really shitty wages huh??

oh yeah you always gotta work. thats the issue for most.
the concept of being up and moving for 12 or 14 hours a day 6 days a week is "slave labor" to them..

once again it goes back to the same thing ive said repeatedly in this thread..
    americans have become lazy..
they have not got the work ethic we as a nation did even 30 years ago...

I'm going to leave it at this, why are companies like walmart,McJunkies etc. the biggest advocates for illegal aliens. Why has Bush+Cheney allowed the problem to get so big?Do you for a moment think they care about you or America. As far as prices rising if salaries did, that is not the case.CEOs and board of directors of these companies are making unheard of salaries now, some 100s of millions of dollars a year.(That is a big problem).Alot of jobs have been outsourced, and prices are rising fast. Its just a Big business con-game that too many people fall for.

do you really think some flunky working fast food or stocking shelves and collecting shopping carts at china mart deserve more than minimum wage??
quite frankly i feel they deserve less..
    its UNSKILLED LABOR!!

lol IMO thats a enlightenment mentality argument...

like i said,, this sure as hell aint the 50's 60's nor 70's..

when i was a late teenager i remember workin for minimum wage doin construction.. a 8 hour day i brought home 19 bucks.i paid 12 a night for the room i was staying in. i remember working weeks on end for 12 to 16 hours a day for 3.15 a hour..

i never complained, i busted my ass for the wage i was offered.. i was just happy to be working..

yep,,,spoiled rotten is what america has become...

Alot of Big Companies that 'do business in the US love illegal immigrants.I'm done with this topic, its a big problem that can easily be solved.Again anyone who hires them jail time and huge fines!Rent a house to an illegal, jail. That would solve alot of the problem. The rest can easily be deported or put in jail.Illegal immigrants have NO RIGHTS in the US.Big business interests have NO place in US government.

I think the main reason we're seeing such a flood of Mexican immigrants right now is that Bush has nearly doubled the number of border patrol agents. Since a simple bribe or BJ is all that is required for entry into the US, more border patrols simply means that twice as many points of entry. Twice as many new travel agents.
