I envy you. I've wanted to watch Akira while tripping since the first time I watched it. I imagine I would reach some sort of profound revelation and my life would be changed forever. haha
I use to watch anime alot a few years ago, and still do ow everyonce in awhile. I usually like the ones with good stories, not just hack and slash. Some of my favorite are.. Cowboy Bebop Fullmetal Alchemist Case Closed Tri-Gun Rurouni Kenshin Inuyasha (even though they never finished it, wdf) -- Some that I hated... (idk how people watch..) are Death Note Bleach
can i ask why you hate death note? and elfen lied is my favorite series. inuyasha is a bad anime like for real. how many times does it take to see the same piece of animation every time a "special move" is done. inuyasha was a low budget mediocre anime. mediocre at best. GITS is one of my favorites. and if you want to understand the last 3 eps of neon genisis, take some acid. thats how i did it
My favorite show is tied between Elven Lied and Serial Experiments Lain. I don't get the hype for Evangelion. It was almost intolerably boring to watch, and the characters were horrible. Shingi was a whiny self-pitying bitch every episode. Asuka was outright obnoxious. Only Rei was tolerable because she talked like twice the whole time. I actually liked the ending the most because Shingi finally got over himself.
neon is tough. the action is sweet, but shinji makes you want to kill him. but you can pay better attention on acid i suppose
Idk, usually in stories you like the main characters... I hated the main character and the story was kinda stupid, only character I liked was the detective kid... then they kill him off.. Idk, Inuyasha is funny to me.
