Anonymous Begins Project Mayhem: Sony and Nintendo Drop support for SOPA bill!

Go ahead and tell the Gestapo what you do, who your friends are, what you "like" and don't like.

Make it real easy for them when it comes time to round people up...

You can spend lots of time together with your "friends" in the internment camps they have setup and waiting...

Oh, but there won't be any Internet for you in those camps.

So you won't be able to update your status. How sad for you.

Your permanent facebook status will be: Disappeared for "friending" the wrong person or "liking" the wrong thing...

 

I was just reading where Anonymous not only hacked into Stratfor's server and downloaded 200 gigs of data, but they also ERASED the data and the backups! Perhaps that's why the site is still down, eh?

You'd think a breach where 200 gigs were downloaded would've been spotted by any kind of awake webmaster, but NO! It would show up as a humongous spike in the traffic that would certainly draw a webmaster's attention.

Again, good goin' Anonymous & anti-sec for showing everyone a "security" company's lack of security.

According to Anonymous companies like this one rip off the gov't, corporations and individuals by promising security that they never deliver.

 

Anonymous' Next Targets: Sony & Neo-Nazi Groups

It looks like their next target will be Sony due to their support of SOPA, the online copyright protection act, which most freedom of speech activists oppose.

Hey look what I found. A diagram of Anonymous' relationships with other groups.

I'm not sure this is accurate and I bet some anonymous will dispute this, but some of it is true.

I think it interesting that Anonymous has pretty much stayed true to its roots while expanding the field of action to embrace corporations and governments and even revolution! The roots I refer to are the protests against the Church of Scientology which began when the Church tried to censor an Internet interview with Tom Cruise. It's always been about the Internet and Censorship. And the actions against those who support SOPA continue in that vein.

So despite all the new support Anonymous has found its goals remain firm and focused.

And now corporations are not just ignoring or fighting back, they're actually GIVING IN to the power of the PEOPLE!

Just like those mideast Governments that have fallen when the people revolted. These revolutions were in part inspired and possibly aided by Anonymous.

And now finally, I believe they have reached the "household name" status in some countries. That is, their meme has now penetrated deep into the consciousness of many people. And this is the last stage in the process, raising awareness of EVERYONE about how corporations and governments abuse their power and act in their own interests regardless of the consequences to THE PEOPLE.

The people have now learned how to organize and rise up against oppression. While nobody can claim that SONY oppresses them directly, the idea that a foreign corporation is using its power to influence American policies, policies which limit our freedoms, is now an issue for the PEOPLE to deal with.

And corporations should be fearful because they only exist because consumers buy their products. Once the PEOPLE become more aware of those corporations who act to limit our freedoms, they can now take direct action either by boycott or by spreading the word to others.

This will ensure a future where the PEOPLE, the citizens and customers play the tune that governments and corporations must dance to, rather than the other way around.
