I think the points others made are that this release of info and others from Anonymous, Anti-Sec and Wikileaks have put out info on innocent people.

But I throw that back and use their own words to say... "If they are innocent, they have nothing to worry about...", right?

That's what we hear everyday from people who support the POLICE STATE we have now.

So the police needn't worry about their personal info getting into the public domain so long as they remain "innocent" and don't physically attack those who are expressing their right to protest peacefully.

One day a people's court may have to hold those responsible for violent acts against the PEOPLE.

Remember this, LEOs! The WHOLE WORLD IS WATCHING, and they've got your name and address...

That coincides beautifully with a new legal tactic that sees victims suing not the police force, but the individual LEOs involved. In a civil suit, if the LEO is found guilty, they will personally suffer for their actions.

An individual might be able to sue a police department for millions, but if that isn't going to work, suing the officer him/herself will provide some kind of justice and act as a deterrent to other officers to not abuse protesters.

Unfortunately, they're not about to layoff cops in NYC at this moment. They're gonna need all they got cause this is getting bigger and they're not going to let this go on indefinitely.

So the cops should be glad about the protesters cause not only are they job security, but they're picking up tons of overtime now.

I wish they would release the photos of every cop they can find that way we can start to weed out all the undercover and vice cops that walk among us.

Would you be happier if they were better at hiding information than Anonymous was at finding that information?

Remember, the police are not the Enemy, they are the Prize !

When it becomes the People's government, they will be the People's police.

    They are the Prize!

    Mike,
    Your point is well-taken.
If you put in a progressive mayor and city council, police will take their marching orders from us.

Changing cop culture to "peace officer" culture will take time, but I think you are right. Start with the ones who make the laws and tell police how to execute the law.

In some areas, voter apathy is so rampant that a small band of well-organized activists can swing an election to where the good guys win.

Transform one little town and it can serve as a shining beacon to all the towns around. People will see that the status quo is evil and unnecessary.

We should reward whistle blowers and cops with their ideals still intact, before they get demoralized and sucked into cop culture.

There's an interesting development in Oakland related to this. One Oakland cop was recently outed as being "undercover", posing as a protester in the Occupy movement. They published video and stills of him in uniform and as part of the protests...

Well he's now released his own video where he claims he IS part of the Occupy movement and supports it! He says he's one of the 99% and believes in what they're doing.

So you see there may be much more sympathy among the police than we think. But they are forced to follow orders or get fired...:bobby:

It also has to do with their function. As I said to fellow protesters in SF at the start of the Iraq war. "They are here to keep their community functioning smoothly. We are here to protest the war."

The janitors at a stadium have a different priority than the team or the fans.

I support the release of this information. About time the tables are turned..... about time we fight back.
