here is a thought....technically I faked being sick about 100 times from gr1 to gr12....maybe even more....also embellished sickness or injury when i was working....granted i never said ''Boss,I woke up with cancer..hopefully I can make it in tomorrow if it clears up''....is there any one here that has never faked sick?

I`m pretty sure theres a difference in faking a cold (a nusince that almost everyone gets occasionaly) to get out of work and faking cancer (a horrible disease that kills people every year) in order to scam giving people out of their money.

Yeah, but most paid sick time is limited, you only get a certain number of days before you need a note from your doctor. And if you don't use it, you lose it.

I called in sick once when I wasn't sick, but I did not get pay for it, being a lowly donut dolly. :D

I can remember doing it a couple of times when in grade school but it really turned out to be a bummer. My mom was the type that if you were sick it was stay in bed and read. No TV, radio.

She was smarter than the average bear. Once or twice and then it was better to go to school. Being in bed is not bad if you are sick, if you are faking it is boring. :)

yea man... there is definatly a difference...
When i was little i did that but i didn't pretend i had leukemia or heart failure or something.. and it wasn't for money it was playing hookey to get out of school.

My mom would baby me when i was little and sick...
I could stay in bed and read or i could cuddle up on the couch and watch tv... but as soon as i started moving around she was like back to school! Only time she let me stay home was if i was throwing up and running a 100 fever.. if i just seemed sick she would say go to school and try to make the day.
