Since, as you say there is little difference between the principal parties, can it be said that there is actually ANY politics in Oz ???

 

There seems to be. From what I see in the media it's just that the extreme racist and anti-science views are not in style. This is why so many foreigners only discuss America now. They feel disappointed in their own country's ethics and wish for ours. Drama queens I guess.

The climate's seriously going to get worse and worse until we're all just complaining about the constant heat. And cities will flood. And we'll all be crying out in anguish. And there's nothing we can do to stop it.

If it climate change (and environmental change that goes with it) would only impact the crops perhaps.

Humanity mirrors mother nature, in a directly physical way, and in the psyche. And she is sick. We are sick. We have lost our class. We are pompous and proud, and mama nature is about to have her own way with us. Barring any redeemable qualities, of which I can see none, humanity is doomed.
