I didn't trip while I had a headache, but I woke up with a massive migraine on Sunday morning, so bad it made me nauseous and I had to leave work early. I went home and slept for a few hours and woke up feeling drained, but better. Anyway, fast forward a few hours and I felt up to tripping. So I took a full hit and enjoyed myself. I felt better physically than I had with aspirin and bed rest. On Monday, no trace of a headache or nausea or fatigue. Usually, a bad migraine will last about 2 or 3 days for me. Tuesday, I had a slight headache that lasted for about an hour and was easily managed with regular Tylenol. I have no idea if the acid had anything to do with anything, but I was amazed that my migraine didn't spill over into the next day at all, nor any other symptom I had the previous day. Definitely a first. Who knows?

apparently it can lead to certain chemical changes in your brain that make it less prone to the headaches... but i haven't personally seen any information on how that works.

I used to have a lot of headaches. Not so many in the past few years. I guess there might be something to that.

I took LSD to cure a headache before. Only two words to describe it: it worked.

Didn't read the thread but L absolutely helped heal my headaches. Chiropractic took care of about %60 of my chronic headaches, and after my first acid trip of two windowpanes the rest of the pain went away as well. I believe the LSD documentary on the History channel? discussed cluster headaches specifically and how sufferers got relief from L or mushrooms. It's one of the more compelling reasons for therapeutic research.

I always thought it was shrooms that help with migrain/cluster headaches...

The video is posted on the first page... Both LSD and mushrooms seem to improve cluster headaches but they have developed a non hallucinogenic drug bromo with a similar chemical structure which works too.

i'm not sure why they are calling it just "bromo." seems like it should be (#)-bromo-LSD

as a sufferer of many different type of headaches.. I can say there are many types of headaches and many things in the body can manifest into a migraine.. As I dont know the OPs husband.. I can tell that person is a male. So lets make a illogical guess.. :p

Foods cant trigger migraine, keep a record of the foods you eat.. when getting a headache check to see if you have eaten anything that may trigger them..

Alcohol/drugs, the drugs you have taken recently can trigger them. aka hangover..

males have a thing called a prostate, sometimes a swollen prostate can trigger a headache, drugs that effect the prostate like DXM should be avoided..

Internally the intestinal system runs along the spinal column... disruptions in this tract can cause a headache/ even the slightest constipation that may not be causing other related stomach problems could trigger migraine..

the brain is attached to the entire nervous system.. The entire nervous system is attached to the WHOLE body..

There could be a million things going on..

just buying into one idea to cure headaches without knowing the cause, seems kinda juvenile to me..

    yeah ACID..

In the video they do show a bottle that reads 2-Bromo Lysergic Acid Diethylamide.

I have dosed mushrooms for my cluster headaches and they worked for about 2 weeks to a month for me and had to redose. I would love to try lsd for it as well to see if it works just as well or maybe even better. It supposedly doesn't take very much L at all to stop a migraine. If I ever get a hold of L again, I will let you know. Good Luck.

They want to take all psychedelic association away from it and all the glamour and propaganda that entails.

At age 15, Otto developed hemi-paraesthesic migraine headaches. These cluster migraines resemble a stroke. He was given narcotics, barbiturates and ergot alkaloids. The drugs were making him ill. He learned of a new medication that might help. The drug was LSD-25 and it worked.

His physicians would not prescribe LSD so Otto entered the world of LSD. Several laboratories provided him and other patients with the medication. Included are comments and research from the greatest scientists of the twentieth century. Personal satori experiences. At nineteen, Otto discontinued his exploration of LSD.

LSD is the most comprehensive book ever written on the synthesis of LSD. Otto includes the reactions and the chemistry behind the reactions. Many simplified reactions (e.g. diethylamine from vodka, lysergic acid directly from Claviceps sugar culture, coupling agents from scratch). Extractions translated to English.

LSD is written by someone who has been there and knows the subject/chemistry first hand. LSD is as popular today as it was in the 1970s and 1960s. For many it is a party drug, for others it is a medication. The Decade of the Brain heralded in a new interest in psychedelics and their medical application.

The book is illustrated by Tulasne, Chase, Gill and others. LSD is packed with chemistry for future generations of neurochemists and explorers. 275+ references. UV laminated.

LOL! This was a question and a discussion. What makes you think anyone has bought into anything at this point? Although there have been a number of testimonials.

My husband will be 61 next month. He has suffered from migraines since childhood. Doctors have examined him for potential causes throughout his life. Nothing has been found, even from that myriad long list of yours.

Given the context and content, i don't feel there is anything juvenile at all going on here. Especially if you personally know (you claim you do) the hell of these headaches.

Not true. I recommend watching the whole documentary. It came out from National Geographic last year and is called "Inside LSD". It's really good and unbiased, and in fact, they use the word psychedelic throughout it to refer to LSD. Pretty surprising, indeed.

"bromo" was referring to a specific form of the drug that doesn't have psychedelic properties. When they were talking about it, they just shortened the name the way people shorten words in conversation.

i have watched that documentary many, many times. i have a copy. It cheers me up. They are extremely intentional in just calling it bromo. They are extremely intentional in trying to pull the headache solving part away from the tripping part. This is something they hope to market to the GENERAL/STRAIGHT consumer. This is something that they hope Joe Sixpack can take Tuesday a 2 a.m. and show up for work at 6 a.m. without a crippling headache and without psychedelic effects.

i will admit none of this is explicitly stated, but watch it VERY closely, listen to what is being said, not only by the narrator but by the researchers very closely . . .

I used to have migrens very often since childhood, and they were so strong that every time I had it I had a terrible nausea, witch lead back to stronger pain after vomiting. When I started using LSD they were all gone, and they were gone for months. Now, I didn't use LSD in more than 2 years, and they are slowly comming back, every now and then I do have a strong migrene, not that severe like before acid, but they are back. I wish I can use acid again :(

That is a very strong testimonial. Impressive that it lasted as long as it did. When you were actively using LSD, how often and how hard did you dose? How much dosing did you do before you noticed the headaches were gone? Did you ever take LSD while in the middle of an attack?

And i am so sorry that this misery is returning. We live in a society with really screwed over priorities.
