I hate MTV. Look what theyre doing, giving more idiots shows just because their older sister is a famous idiot. like ashlee simpson. Wasnt she the one that was booed off stage? Doesnt that show you something? And if she claims to be a rocker, i think someone should shoot her.

So I watch VH1 instead, cause it plays good music, and it isnt taken ove rby horrible shows abuot stuck up bitches.

Not all videos are bad though. It's a great medium for creation and expression but that aspect isn't highly touted there. More like an endless string of ploys to get one to be a mindless little consumerbot.

 

I haven't seen it in forever. We don't subscribe to cable, and haven't in over 6 years. We don't miss it one bit.

 

I think music television was a great idea but it has become something awful. The only thing they have accomplished is create a generation of teenagers( yeah yhis coming from a 16 year old) that think they know good music because they listen to pop punk stuff. Now if it was just about playing music fine but now you have stuck up kids who listen to crap and will never get to listen to accual good music. It's a shame really. I was reading an article about MTV2 the other day and how they were going to appeal to teenage guys more by playing mostly rap and punk... I honestly hope the majority of my peers arn't really like that...

 

What about the shitty reality shows omg they suck monkeys balls and all the music generally sucks the videos are all these stupid acid trips. It's relly lame and dumb MTV is all about pleaseing the masses not about music.

 

I've never been a big fan of MTV. My roommate on the other hand, wakes me up every morning with that garbage.
