The respectful thing would be to let the guy post without ripping it apart into pieces to explain why you disagree with him and blah blah blah. :)

I didn't care about what his opinion was, he can think whatever he wants. Its the way that he voiced his opinion that bothered me. I've never ripped any of his posts apart, I've never even said a single word to him and I don't know what anyone has said to him before, I haven't been here long enough to know. I'm just responding with what I thought personally. And SEs a grown man, he can speak for himself. my reply was to him, not to you or anyone else. He's always welcome to message me and he and I can talk about whatever he wants to. I have nothing against him, the tone of his message just bothered me a bit.

yep, I'm waiting for my dreads to develop a bit more before I replace it.

I haven't been on this forum long, like I said, I was just responding to his post, I have nothing to do with anything previously said. Had I known everyone was gonna get so worked up, I wouldn't have said anything. I was actually hoping to talk to SE and not to all of the SE representatives in the crowd. When my response is addressed to him, his response is all that matters to me. I'm sure he can see from what I said that it wasn't meant in any mean way. I'd expect someone else to do the same to me if I said something that might offend someone.

BTW, just for a bit of irony concerning the whole view on dreads, don't you find it ironic that dreads is under "fashion and crafts" on these forums

you are crazy looking! I thought it was a picture of the lead singer of your favourite band or something. I think you'd be massive in Japan

More like, we can rip on each other and have big arguments without anyone making a big deal, but if we justly criticise soaringeagle it's taken out of proportion.

Maybe the fact that he can't post here without prompting a certain type of response says something about the things he says, and not just those who respond to him?

Wow, really hope I didn't start this whole thing when I defended the back coming process.
Oh and ravenmikhail, I'm just saying, most people would have a big nest on their head (metaphorically speaking, not an ACTUAL nest of messy hair). I
have kinky'ish hair, and I know I would have hella messy hair.
I've seen pictures of people 2 months into the neglect method and just look...very messy, but gorgeous. my but work wouldn't allow that.

I'm not saying I don't love the neglect method, I think it's AWESOME, but not for me.

And 73N5H1, you're a cool cat. I get what you're saying, and I see no desrespect in the answers back to SE. He'd understand.

He tends to categorize and make quick judgements about people without knowing anything about them.

I remember when I first started posting I made a comment about how I enjoy lifting weights and he jumped all over it saying something along the lines of "You must be a brain dead, steroid using, guy who spends all his money going to the gym because he's too concerned about the way he looks. Maybe you should put your time at the gym into helping out your community'

    I was like wtf

He does tend to get picked on in excessive amounts though. I don't really bother reading much of what he has to say anymore so I don't bother commenting on it

lol, I'd definitely never care if someone lifted weights or anything they chose to do for that matter... speaking of, I need to get into better shape myself... sitting at a desk all day for 40 hours a week hasn't done me any good... =/

Ahh, thank you for clearing that up.
I was like "WHICH ONE ARE THEY TALKING ABOUT, UGH."
Saying things like "he" and "him" doesn't really clear things up for me, I suppose. ;)
