You must not have looked in a mirror and informed yourself of such lately.

As for the original post, there is no doubt that it is a discrimination issue.

If it makes me a victim that I care someone else was victimized, then so be it.

boo hoo.....that's all this activism is about anymore. You're all only unequal in your own mind.

    Are you married?

Informing one's self that he is equal to everyone else does not erase the injustices in this world. You may find a perverse and twisted happiness in living inside your own mind with the false comfort that you are equal to others, but that is not how reality works.

Yep. You're going to turn this into a right to marry? We all have that right. Except the constitution is specific.

Think again. There was a time interracial couples were informed that they also had the right to legal marriage, as long as it was with each of their own race. Whites could marry whites and blacks could marry blacks, but whites could not marry blacks. That was discrimination, and an inequality that was fixed. Loving, consenting, homosexual adults do not have the legal right to marry other loving, consenting, adult homosexuals. Therefore, you are wrong.

It was unconstitutional at the time "interracial couples were informed" they could not marry. All same gender, whether gay or not, cannot marry. No discrimination.

    Marriage inequality fosters discrimination.

So I have a question about the part I bolded.......

He's still a developing person right??....with another 10 years or so you say before he is fully developed and mature.

When do we cut the cord?? Seriously?? When do we let "him" be his own person and makes his choices??

I mean sure let him know that you think the relationship might be harmful, but when do we stand back and let "him" develop on his own? without interference?

I mean by saying "he" isn't fully developed or mature is wrong. As humans we all grow and develop as we grow older. I mean honestly as I get older I'm developing as a person on my own..... it's a continual process.

Calgirl I just find your views really close minded. It wasn't anybody's business what he does in his personal life.

I'm sorry, but I cannot find a lot of sympathy for the football player if my understanding of this story is correct. Honestly, the coach MIGHT hate gay people and that might've been his motive for kicking him off, however the player did break some rules and could've kept the PDA to a minimum. Sure, his team mates might be homophobic douchebags, but it caused enough of a big thing to warrant an explanation in which he did not give. Overall, I don't think any official discrimination against his sexuality had taken place.

I will be sure to inform every heterosexual couple I see engaged in a public display of affection that their behavior is disgusting. Heck, I will even go to their schools or work places to make sure they get kicked off their extra curricular activities or get written up because that is what a retard I am.

breaking of rules? since when aren't the football players allowed to kiss/hug/etc their significant other? during the EURO final this year the spanish players kissed their wives that had come to watch the game and had their kids run around on the stadium after the game. that was all aired on public TV across the Europe. how the hell are they still allowed to play football?

for the record, i find huge age gap relationships distasteful myself. and i certainly don't wanna see an 18 y/o make out with a guy he can pull off as his grandfather if i can do anything about it. but i will always defend their right to be with whomever they choose and kiss/marry the person they want.

none of us has the right to tell other people what they can or can't do. and if you were out with a loved one and kissed them in public for example and someone came up to you and told you you were wrong and consequently you also got fired from your job for doing that i'm sure you'd raise all kinds of hell about it and start whining about unfairness. so judging other people for something you don't want done on yourself is damn hypocritical. but maybe that's your thing.
