Do you mean this: In 1960, it was determined that the rhesus monkey kidney cells used to prepare the poliovirus vaccines were infected with the SV40 virus (Simian Virus-40). SV40 was also discovered in 1960 and is a naturally occurring virus that infects monkeys. In 1961, SV40 was found to cause tumors in rodents. More recently, the virus was found in certain forms of cancer in humans, for instance brain and bone tumors, pleural and peritoneal mesothelioma, and some types of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. However, it has not been determined that SV40 causes these cancers. SV40 was found to be present in stocks of the injected form of the polio vaccine (IPV) in use between 1955 to 1963. It is not found in the OPV form. Over 98 million Americans received one or more doses of polio vaccine between 1955 to 1963 when a proportion of vaccine was contaminated with SV40; it has been estimated that 10–30 million Americans may have received a dose of vaccine contaminated with SV40. Later analysis suggested that vaccines produced by the former Soviet bloc countries until 1980, and used in the USSR, China, Japan, and several African countries, may have been contaminated; meaning hundreds of millions more may have been exposed to SV40. In 1998, the National Cancer Institute undertook a large study, using cancer case information from the Institutes SEER database. The published findings from the study revealed that there was no increased incidence of cancer in persons who may have received vaccine containing SV40. Another large study in Sweden examined cancer rates of 700,000 individuals who had received potentially contaminated polio vaccine as late as 1957; the study again revealed no increased cancer incidence between persons who received polio vaccines containing SV40 and those who did not. The question of whether SV40 causes cancer in humans remains controversial however, and the development of improved assays for detection of SV40 in human tissues will be needed to resolve the controversy.
How effective is the vaccine? It has been shown that 9 out of 10 children vaccinated with a single dose will develop immunity against chickenpox. A two-dose schedule is now recommended for all, as it gives a better immune response. Three-quarters of teenagers and adults who are vaccinated will develop immunity against chickenpox. http://www.nhs.uk/conditions/varicella-vaccine/Pages/Introduction.aspx As the song goes: Two out of three aint bad.
ya i just got unlucky. Now i get to wait for the exciting sequel: shingles yaaa. Hey is this mr odon from science class? Haha i actually spraypainted in big letters on the front of his classroom " mr odon sucks penis" agahagah i got away with it too such an awesome schoolday next morning.
No, ALL vaccines should be disregarded as poisonous. Seriously, it's just another route of income for somebody.
This is one example of a vaccine I personally find to be pointless. I think vaccines should be used with life threatening diseases.
ya he was a huge dick. I think i did that after he turned me in for coming back from the bathroom reeking of weed then they found pipe on me first time getn arrested. Sorry about degrading your name on the classroom like that my bad.
Most aren't safe. When have you turned on the news and *flick* Oh hey meningitis fungus infection breeding in new steroid shots whoop
Is that a vaccination? Generally speaking, when I have heard of vaccinations that have caused an adverse reaction (or death) it is either down to an allergic reaction, contamination or is a historic e.g. In this case: An investigation found improper and inadequate sterility practices may have been at play. Other batches of the same steroid injection didn't result in such adverse reaction. So, is it the steroid injection or incompetence? Pressed_Rat is going to stop laughing, and either find a post he has written about why this isn't true: "vaccinations are safer than before and safe for the majority of people. Some are safe for some and not for others - allergic reactions etc." - or update his theory. Aren't you, Pressed_Rat?
For some strange reason I cant find this story on the C.D.C. web site http://www.cdc.gov / they found bacteria in some of the vaccines . The cure was making people sicker the the disease. desert rat p.s. I stand corrected the story is there http://www.myfoxphoenix.com/story/19771993/2012/10/09/cdc-meningitis-sickens-105-8-dead http://www.cdc.gov/HAI/outbreaks/meningitis.html
