Yea', I got tired of the laggy bs and the hit markers on Hardcore in MW3,,, wtf right? Haven't played since before the DLC on xbox released. I just installed the MOH Warchest last week on my kids PC, so funny running over those maps again as I recall just how "vivid and realistic" everything seemd the first time I played. STILL clearly recall being locked in awe as the transport approached the beach head. Fun game for Zombie fan's though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oTsUs7NVzfc"]Dead Island Intro Theme Who Do You Voodoo Bitch - YouTube I need to get that WinTV card from my friend, so much better gear than this Dude. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ijPeMQ3wmk"]Dead Island - Gameplay video - YouTube
And here's a video of VBS2, the training software ARMA, Op Flashpoint and so forth are spawned from. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9MBQg-7z-04"]VBS2 US Army Lite Gameplay - YouTube The most impressive part of it being the modding tools available, mission scripting, weapons, land, air and sea units, the ability to model any scenario you want and find out just why War is such a bad thing... Thats what I love most about Codemasters, they didnt play up respawn or hit points or the other horseshit that games like HALO or Half Life played up, Medic's can only do so much for you, there are no health canteens and your enemy does not leave any shiny gold coins for you to rack up your score by, just more bullets and a new weapon if you need it. If a grenade goes off near you, you may be crippled, unable to move, unable to see what you're shooting at,,, this is what we should be teaching our Kid's about armed conflict. Oh, and it accounts for real world physics as far as range, fps, drop and windage for the Snipers in the house. :cheers2:
I'd say it depends on the maker. Like one of the arguers in your comment said that they forget why we play the game and they take advantage of the power they have over the making of the game and in the process of the money taking a hold of them they forget that they are making a game that will make the players happy, not them :]
More exploratory, but with that comes, for me, less challenging overall gameplay. Some challenges are just due to buggy hit detection or laggy controls. Console games too, not just computer games.
Just finished reading 3 pages and almost every post was wrong or only a half truth. I been playing since pong and i still play atari, nes, intelivision, ps1, xbox, and 360 games. I will be getting a new system before the end of the year most likely. Anyway to the point back in the old days there was great games. And back then there was shit games. in the snes and ps1 days there was great games and there was shit games. And now there are great games and shit games. Seems like people fawning over old games because of creativity have missed the whole independant game movement that has been going on. There are plenty of creative games now that are actually similar to the old side scrollers or puzzle games. And when you list 10 games for snes and say look at all the good games...yeah take a minute and google all the games on the system and come back and tell me how many hundreds of bad games were also on it. Selling out is nothing new either. Sequels have been around since the 2600. I will have to go back and skim over the more stupid posts on this thread and give them special attention but not now.
