I seriously want you to marry me Matt...

I don't feel like anything in our country would be any different if a leftist Democrat had gotten into office. I still vote Democrat usually, but that doesn't mean that I don't think that they are both basically the same. Neither side, politician wise, cares about the environment, which is the most important thing to me and I don't see real change coming from either side.

Incidentally, I want to kill all the people in my area who go on and on about how liberal and environmental they are all when they are driving their hummers and their SUVs with their "save the planet" stickers and buying things at Chevron and Starbucks. Ugh.

But, what they do isn't leftist and in your view it isn't rightist either, why are you refusing to recognize this? The neo-cons don't fit anywhere. They have their own insane agenda.

They become right-wingers because the Left didn't accept them and thier views.

The fact is, the Neocon ideology of "perpetual war for perpetual peace" derives from people like Leon Trotsky and Leo Strauss -- both Leftists. The neocon ideology is rooted in the far Left, and the first neocons were originally Leftists. Even today's most ardent neocons like Feith and William Kristol come from far Left backgrounds. They are all globalists, thus they are part of the socialist New World Order agenda of a one world government.

Very true whether it is a democrat, liberal, conservative or a republican they all end up working for the same people, but where dose the term Left and Right in the political sense originate from?

Before left and right where used to control, and deceive people, these labels existed in their pure form.

It goes back to the French Revolution of course. The deputies from the Third Estate sat to the left of the president's chair. The members of the second estate sat to the right.

    So what is your point?

We just previously agreed what people call themselves or say does not make them so, but their actions do, but you keep repeating and taking these people for their words but you do not apply the same attitude toward Bush.

The Left in it is purest form is not as evil as you present, but through time the term has been hijacked by insane and evil people to achieve their ends.

Social Conservatives have done their best to ruin America by retarding progress in all areas with their (as one poster put it) "1950's-style" of PURITAN BULLSHIT. It makes me want to vomit profusely.

I hate Social Conservatism. What a waste of time and energy!

How so? The French revolution gave birth to leftism. Before that what kind world existed? A world full of ideas we would classify as Rightist today. Ideas that supported all kind of nonsense and evils.

When the state plus capitalism and the banks unite to rule, it is called fascism.

I'm a moderate with more liberal leanings then conservative.

I think the extremes on both sides ought to have their mouths duct-taped and be permantly banned from the internet.

They make the human species look stupid.

The leftist extreme..atleast they seem to give a damn about the rest of the planet.

The right extreme is too religious and white power for me.

Exactly. It's a socialist/fascist dictatorship. That is the direction America is headed.

Fascism equals absolute state economic and social control not democratic.

Comparing Fascism with Socialism is like comparing democracy with despotism.

Socialism IS the road to absolute state control. Socialism believes in the power of an all-powerful government.... not the people.

wow such oversimplification and that is your definition. The true definition of socialism is it could be authoritarian or democratic. Socialism is like a pizza with many flavors.

While I agree with the left more than the right, I basicly call myself apolitical because really, politics should not be taken very seroiusly.
