I seriously love it. hahaha. I love seeing kids just lose their shit. When you think about it, it really is creepy. There was a kid that came in my salon the other day and he said santa leaves his presents on the porch because he doesn't like for him to come in his house. His mom said that the thought of Santa coming in his house when he's asleep scares him. As it should. That kids knows whats up.
I think they're the best too. I knew he was going to freak out because he doesn't really like to be held by any men except his daddy and grandfather. I think its a pretty awesome picture and will make us laugh for years to come
I never freaked out seeing santa but looking back at some of the pictures I probably should have. There were some really creepy looking dudes. I'm pretty sure a few of them were drunk by looking at the pictures.
I am done!!!! Anything from here on out will just be extra junk I found and decided to add. I think I might buy my father-in-law a couple of bags of his favorite candies (Hot Tamales, black licorice, and peach rings) to add to his present and I might make some cookies or something to give to everyone also. I made a few of the presents myself because I was on an extremely limited budget this year. I'm still proud of my homemade goodies and hope that the time and effort I put into them makes up for the lack of money I had to spend on something fancy.
I still have over half of the presents to buy and we're celebrating tomorrow. This should be interesting.
Homemade gifts are my favorite! I did a few homemade gifts this year for people who were hard to shop for.
I only have one niece. For my nephew though, I'm still not sure yet. He's the hardest kid to buy for because he already has everything he could want. He always says to get him video games but I refuse to do that on account of his already constant gaming. I decided when he was a wee lad to never aid in his mindless and excessive game play, and to always give him gifts that encourage him to be outside. Hes 14 and his only hobbies besides video games are football and weight training. But there's nothing really I could get him for that because he already has more than what he needs. I'm thinking I'll give him a card saying that I'll take him on a camping and hiking trip once spring comes....just the two of us. I haven't been able to spend much one on one time with the kid lately.....I think that would be good for the both of us. I like the idea of the gift being about spending time with them rather than spending money on stupid things that they probably won't like anyway.
It's nice to hear I'm not the only one that refuses to buy video games. I even go as far as not allowing them to bring their gameboys in my house. I used to take them when they would walk in the door and not give them back until they left because they wouldn't talk to anybody and I got tired of seeing the top of their head from looking down playing a game. I think the gift of time with you is a great idea. That's what I should do with mine but to be honest I don't have that kind of time with as many as I have.
Laundry detergent (probably sounds weird, but the jar I made for myself at the beginning of October has lasted me until now and I still have about 8 loads left give or take a couple before I have to open another jar. I love it) for my mother, mother-in-law, and sister-in-law. I painted and decorated a picture frame for my sister-in-law and put my favorite picture of my niece (her daughter) in it, and I put together two jars with sand and seashells and tea light candles in them for my mom and mother-in-law. I'm probably going to bake up some cookies or some sort of edible goodies and give them as gifts, too.
I made fleece tie together blankets for my sister and her girlfriend. My kids are going to paint an apron for my dad, and I bought 2 big photo collage frames that I'm going to fill will pictures of all of us for the grandma's. I bought gifts for everyone else in the family.
If you're really broke you can always poop into a box, wrap it up and give as a gift. You can't get much more homemade then that.

I bought myself a t-shirt for Christmas from the tattoo shop I go to. I told my husband it was from him.
