Pride comes from personal accomplishments, not from birth.

daisymoo Says...I don't think it is beside the point. The title of the thread asks if we are proud to be human.

quote: Humans are the Only Animals on Earth Who Fight to the Death...For mere Beliefs...

This isn't true at all....many other animals kill for territory and superiority...which is the same as beliefs...
If a monkey eats out of turn, he will be killed because he is not important enough...

I meant Beliefs in Such Things as Religion...
    Yes...Many Animals Fight For Territory...Natural Resources(Food/Water/Shelter)...But Humans...Fight for Religion...

Interesting Though...A Monkey is a Primate...Humans are Primates...Down with the Primates...

quote: Even Our Prehistoric Ancestors...Are Thought to Have Caused the Extinction of Mamoths...

I have never heard this...what is it based on?

Archealogical Evidence...Has Been Suggested that Mamoths were Over-Hunted...

quote: Too Bad the Dinosaurs were Unable to Stop us From Taking Over the Earth...Like Maggots on a Rotting Corpse...

We did not co-exist with dinosaurs, so this is really irrelevant. We had nothing to do with their extinction...

I am Not a Complete Retard...I am Well Aware that There are Millions of Years Inbetween Our Existing and the Time of Dinosaurs...However...If Dinosaurs Did Not Become Extinct...Then They may Well Have Remained the Dominant Animals on the Planet...
Alas...Dinosaurs Died Out...The Maggots Wiggled Onwards...
I Never Said that Humans Caused the Extinction of Dinosaurs...

i have always disagreed with pride in ones country...

you could be say, proud of a kid you raised, or proud that a person you have helped is doing better...

you can be happy you live somewhere..but I don't see how you can be proud if it just because you happened to reside on that particular ground

I'm not proud to be human but I'm not ashamed of being human either.

And, yes, I agree- being proud of one's country doesn't make any sense really. I don't even consider myself a member of any country even though there is one I live in.
