I'd just say 'sorry I don't make duvet covers.' worst that can happen, she can write back something along the lines of 'well you should'
I wrote her back a messge: Hello, I'm sorry, I don't make duvet covers-yet . I am afraid they are above my skill level at this time. Have an awesome day, Lynsey
I just sold two more items *does happy dance* I thought having my hours cut at my real job would totally suck, but now I KNOW everything does truly happen for a reason.
I've had people message me and say 'I really like your work, but I can't afford such and such amount' and I ALWAYS work something out with them. Either they can trade me from their store, can provide the fabric themselves, trade me supplies or do layaway. I would much rather her be honest if she can't afford soemthing than try to undercut any Etsian's work . If you don't value your time, the customer's not.
could be she was thinking $30 labor plus cost of materials but sucks as iterating things well. but doesn't matter, you responded normally.
E-commerce websites do attract all sorts of daft comments.( I've supplied some daft ones myself...) But they are also a good source of free "market research" of future possibs. Maybe one day u'll just wanna design and let an army of staff do the manufacture at lower costs? BTW I forgot to PM u to say , that I'd replied on your contract question. Good to see your bus. is thriving.!!
Who the hell knew-seriously? I think I'm going to do this and look for some design classes instead of grad school. Thanks . I'll go back and look for your response. I decided not to work with that lady though. I found some other people who sell with her and they said there stuff stays pretty stagnant. I like how you look at things. What part of the UK are you in? I've never asked. half of my family is split between Manchester and London.
I like lime green I have this cool Marimekko duvet and pillow case. It's white, yellow and lime green. I like it, I think it's fun. John mentioned that the print reminded him of Spongebob's background haha. That's a good thing in our world
Thank you! , I stole it and I love it too. BTW Bella, I thought the offer for the duvets was mad cheap. I dont think you could even get two nice duvets at Walmart for 30$, but Im not sure.
Where did you steal it from ? And more importantly, do they happen to have a similar one, but with slightly different skin tone and hairstyle ? Haha, I am so dumb
Selling to the public I found was the hard part of a business. Thats why shops need big profit margins. But maybe give better galleries a trial with 1 or 2 things? We spoke years back didn't we , under alternate usernames? But mine's a secret pleeeeeeease( on acct of the rubbish I used to ,and still do write) I live in the Western side currently , but I've moved round abit. Am in Manchester and Ldon alot.Like em both.
I love afros soooooooooo much. my little sister has extremely curly/kinky hair, and I pretty much BEG her to cut it really short and style it in an afro type way. she's all like Priss, do that with your own hair and get off my back about it. (mine would never work )
I don't know what this site is or what it contains, but she just asked.. All you had to do if you didn't want to was explain to her politely why you don't want too.. I am going to be honest here but there is no reason for you to be rude or "catty", all she did was ask a question, and all you had to really do was write her back and tell her no and simply write the reasoning... Personally, I would have done it.. I do projects for people that consume a lot of my time and the supplies I pay out of my own pocket for (which isn't chump change at times) But I do it because I want too and feel pretty honored that people even ask me, also it is something I enjoy doing, so to me it is no big deal... But I am aware people are different, and I was just explaining what I would do... But like I stated you seem to sort of take things out of context and think everyone is being rude, when they simply were not...They just asked, all you have to do is simply state no but you appreciate it..or something of that nature..
You're cute , I never knew my signature would be so popular. Cate wants one too haha I stole it from a friend's MySpace. She recently cut all her hair and is letting it grow naturally, so she has a mini afro. I told her I was taking it because I got a bigger afro I could always ask her where she got it from and see if there's more at the source...
