This is what you actually said: where it seems that you call "I desire mercy not sacrifice" a command like "love God with all your heart, and likewise your neighbor as yourself" and I was just pointing out that "I desire mercy not sacrifice" does not seem to be a command. All sins except blaspheme against the Holy spirit can be forgiven but are not automatically forgiven. One, isn't that a little unforgiving and two, it wasn't an apology. Yep, you pretty much say anything. So, we can just ignore what God says to us and just sort of make it up as we go along? Fair enough but who "authorized" it?
I know what I said and it relates to what you said. I understand what you are saying. Go and learn what this means, I desire mercy not sacrifice, is a command. Did you consider what I said in regards to actions? If it is not an apology then there is nothing to forgive. God speaks in all things, you don't lend enough credit. Don't know, don't care.
We are discussing with machinist the transient and ultimately unsatisfying investment in the goodness of form. And the reality of a being is in what they present, not how they "measure up".
I believe the real miracle here is your insistence to respond to my statement in literal terms, even though I'm fairly certain you are familiar with the common exaggerated usage of the word "forever".
Yes, "Go and learn what this means" is a command but interestingly, when you were talking about something being a command, you did not quote that but only quoted "I desire mercy not sacrifice" which is not a command. Yes. But yet you said you wouldn't accept it, when you thought it was. Interesting. Oh, I do not call God's hand short but minimizing what God has written for our benefit does seem a bit foolish. So, if it was Satan who authorized it, that's authority enough for you? Interesting.
Oh I know, it's the same reason I popped into this thread. I was just trying to let you know that, although I'd put OlderWaterBrother's sanity somewhere between "near-death delirium" and "fever dream after OD'ing on barbiturates", he manages to remain fearfully persistent about disagreements he is involved in, a same trait I've noticed in you. Eventually, someone will have to let go.
I am curious as to why you find this "interesting" and what associations that interest leads you to. If you are suggesting that this modality is suitable only for offenses against God or whatever, then that is exceptional or apologetic and I do not accept that limitation on effectiveness. My bible demonstrates I have minimized nothing. That is not what I said. I said I don't know and I don't care. It is enough for me that I hear the word.
