Do you think mobile phones have become TOO important/intrusive in our lives?

 

I just got one last year but I only use it to listen to music. Homicide rates have plummeted in the US in large part (they say) because EMS can get to shooting victims a lot quicker now that everyone has 911 at their fingertips. Of course, we also live in a car culture here and accident rates have gone way up since people have started fussing with and gabbing on their phones while driving.

Ah-that was from a song by The Three Degrees,in which one line was "My simple heart".
I only ever heard that song over the rumble of a very big truck-so for years,I thought they were singing "Bicycle parts".
[I did actually wonder about that,but never thought to ask]
