There are lots of candidates. I think the leader at the moment is cancer followed by heart attack but i wouldnt be surprised if i went any one of ten other ways.

I think everyone will have some awareness of impending death. I don't think in your sleep would be any less traumatic, you could've suffered for a long time before going into unconsciousness. A quick accident would probably be better.

no it might make you forget your problems but you will remember them when you come back to reality...it does take time though and time heals. so it helps but i wouldnt call it a GOOD coping mechanism, i would say escaping reality is a good thing to do though.

Yes, and I'd be thankful for the good memories and search out a way to enjoy intimacy the best way I could. Life goes on and there are so many interesting things in it. Discover new territories.
