At 2:30 today I will be unemployed

Yep this is going to sound negetive but but you posted the subject and this is just an opinion.

It could not of happened to a better person, the way you come off here with your spoiled girl attitude, now maybe you will have to come down to the real world. With all the ups and downs in your life maybe you can goto work for a drug company testing new drugs.

 

well, lyns, this is just another beautiful experience in life to make you stronger. cutting ties to the old jobs, you now have a WHOLE NEW WORLD OF OPPORTUNITY. it's a fantastic time. even the chest pain that's nearly inevitable is a beautiful thing. yeah, you need a little pain in your life to balance you out a little bit, but that goes for everyone. good luck on the job hunt.

 

Life was never supposed to be easy... if it were we wouldn't develop wisdom or character. It's not that I wish you to be unemployed, but I hope that you can look back on this and be glad that it happened. Perhaps it can help you gain some perspective.

One day I had a moment driving in my Jeep. I was thinking how hard certains times of my life have been, struggles, challenges being a Mom, not having much help, wanting to take my own life at times. As I was thinking all of this I got behind a big truck that didn't have it's trailer on it. The back of the cab had a picture of Jesus with his arms stretched. It said "I never said it was going to be easy, I said it would be worth it"

I about cried right there. That was my message for those thoughts I was having.

Lynsey you are going to get through this. You have people here and there that want to support you and help you along the way. Whatever negative obsticles get in your way can be viewed as also good learning experiences. How we deal with the negative and turn it to a positive, how we react to things we don't like and make something good of it.

I am so happy this morning. I don't want to work because I need a break. So I am not going to job search again until May. I am going to have to live differently though, but that is okay because a lot of my shopping and expensive partying was to make myself feel better about my work situation.

I m actually going to volunteer for a non-profit I have spoke at conferences for. I am going to be reading books to kids with disabilities for an afternoon a week and speaking to boards about the benefits of inclusion.

I am taking the fast paced spanish class next month (couldn't take it before because of work) and then in the Spring I am going to finish my credential classes and renew my CBEST so I can teach Special Ed and always have something to fall back on.
Plus I have a lot of Vegas, Tahoe, San Francisco and snowboarding planned!

Oh I also am signing up for advanced cake decorating and start running with my marathon training group next month.

I am going to develop the hell outta myself and become the best person i can be in these six months! I am excited. You are right it is beautiful and I do not need a plethora of things.

 

I am I just needed to get shit faced drunk last night and have one evening of everyone feeling sorry for me and eventually throwing me into a cold shower. Now that I have had my pity party I am ready to move on. I wanted this, I wanted this chance to be a free spirit for awhile and only focus on me. I am really excited. I just needed a plan and now that I found that spanish class and that they are offering the rest of the credential courses I need I am happy as a clam. It helps that Katie reminded me I can jet outta town anytime I want to and i have friends who live in some fun places!

 

You're right it was horrible that I had a very good paying job, worked hard and climbed the ladder so young and had fun while I was doing it. I should be shot for spending my paycheck!
