At what age did you completely lose respect for your parents?

    I lost complete respect for my mother around the age of 18, due to a shift in her character and subsequent actions brought about by a divorce.

    Yes you are, and we're all blessed in our different ways. I feel very grateful for my childhood experiences, as difficult and painful as they were, because they helped me become stronger and more compassionate. It's the pressure that makes a diamond. :)

    Well, I never lost respect for my parents. My Step Father though, yes. He talks bad about everyone I look up to behind their backs, then when they come around he shuts his fuckin mouth....UGH! My real Father was "supposedly" abusive at one time, I still respect him though, he has a heart behind that icey outerpart.

    I stopped having respect for my mom at the age of 14 when she called the cops on me over stupid shit. and i still have respect for my dad.

    my respect has only grown through the years as i've matured and been able to put myself in their shoes more and more

    it doesn't hurt that they are the best parents a man could want
