At what age did you completely lose respect for your parents?

I lost complete respect for my mother around the age of 18, due to a shift in her character and subsequent actions brought about by a divorce.

 

Yes you are, and we're all blessed in our different ways. I feel very grateful for my childhood experiences, as difficult and painful as they were, because they helped me become stronger and more compassionate. It's the pressure that makes a diamond.

Well, I never lost respect for my parents. My Step Father though, yes. He talks bad about everyone I look up to behind their backs, then when they come around he shuts his fuckin mouth....UGH! My real Father was "supposedly" abusive at one time, I still respect him though, he has a heart behind that icey outerpart.

I stopped having respect for my mom at the age of 14 when she called the cops on me over stupid shit. and i still have respect for my dad.

my respect has only grown through the years as i've matured and been able to put myself in their shoes more and more
