At what age(s) do you think it's ok to use recreational drugs?

I think it is okay to use recreational drugs from around age 12/14 until death.

i don't think age has anything to do with it. anything people can do without being annoying is up to them. at any rate, i don't see myself as sitting in judgement on what other people do to themselves, as long as they're not doing it to me.

The expression "Age is only a number" has always made sense to me.

Also, different things are present to different extents culturally and physically in different parts of the world.

 

I just can't stand seeing people with young children smashed out on drugs.

 

Ditto. That's why I had the boys. Their mother was continuously drunk and nastier than even the men she non-stop nymphoed with. She was not very protective either.

Alcoholic drinks are often not regarded as recreational drug use so I am just wondering. It's better to ask than to assume things after all :cheers2:

 

nothing wrong with the substance crowd and nothing wrong with the straight edge crowd. but they dont seem to mix to well. if only there was a way to separate them... if only there was a building the substance crowd could go to where what they do is accepted by all the other people in the building. hmmm maybe like a bar. where you must be 18 to partake in the activities of the rest of the patrons. (or 21 here in the states) hmm seems to answer that question.

 

In my experience straight edge crowds can mix very well with substance crowds. I've seen otherwise too but that's usually due to immature people that somehow feel offended by the other person's choice to partake or not partake at all in consumption of alcohol and/or recreational drugs

 

that used to be the case when i was in jersey but then i moved to the eastern bible belt where there is a church every other block....literally. there wasnt a bar in my town a few months before i moved here. and some politicians are still bitter that it is here.

 

Ha, so how is it that there have several bars opened there since you moved there? :biggrin:

 

new mayor got voted in he changed things, he was since voted out. and there is still only one bar in the town. actually 2 but nobody goes into the mexican restaurant to drink they might have drinks there but i have never seen anyone at the bar.

I am okay with occasional drink or two.

 

It depends on the drug. Soft drugs from 16, harder and psychedelic drugs from 20ish. As with anything, moderation is key. And you are never too old to use recreational drugs.

 

Mad thing is, even The Beatles were using LSD in their late 20s lol
