-Fate (It was meant to be) / Freewill : When I think about free will and fate i imagine a man looking in his rear view mirror at a sand dune with tire tracks in them.....There is only one path that you can travel, as well as there is only one path that you will travel. And I hate to quote the matrix but there is a difference between knowing the path and walking the path....the entire debate revolves around that disparity.

half right. there is no path save the trail one has left behind. ahead there is infinite diversity through which one attempts to plot a course in which they find some combination of harmony and gratification. the landscape of time has definite form, making some directions easier or more difficult then others. this is not fore ordainment, though it is beyond our own individual will, just as a landscape of mountains and river valleys might be.

I like the way you put this but order of difficulty is only apparent. The way we interface with time can be on a linear, as with most, or a concentric basis. In the linear regard we move from point a to point b. On a concentric basis we move not at all but both point a and point b are artifacts of our current emergence.

One perspective imagines a place where we have been and a place where we are going and within these parameters it appears we are stuck in a miasma of circumstance.

The other perspective relies on the fact that everything happens at once, that is all that occurs, occurs now, or not at all. From this vantage point any change of mind, is fundamental, there are no idle thoughts. When you begin to understand that all power exists in each moment then you have transcended the illusion of scarcity.
