attention all weed addicts!!!

there is so much wrong with that message, spelling aside:

caffeine is physically addictive, as well as being a lot more harmful than weed. weed is nothing like caffeine, it can't directly kill you if you abuse it.

you seem to think psychological addictions are minor, you think problem overeating is minor? that people would just stop if they could? compulsive gambling? any rewarding behaviour carries the risk of psychological addiction, a lot of people have poor self control, why do so many of you find it hard to believe the FACT that people become psychologically addicted to weed? i'm not theorising, this isn't my opinion, this is truth.

i don't think everyone thinks this way, i've never once said that.

but i wouldn't expect a 16 year old to understand what i'm saying, let alone respond maturely, so i'll let you off the hook. could you please read the topic before responding next time, or simply refrain from clogging it up with clutter, i'd like it if we could discuss the topic at hand, rather than me having to rebuff attack after attack.

my expectations weren't premeditated resentments, did you read my posts? i expected mainly normality, as i indicated by singling out the few posters who responded normally; i'll repeat myself so you understand better, those people i singled out where the kind of people i expected the majority of responses to come from.

your post above is another example of people reading what they want to read, rather than bothering to understand the message.

i am feeling resentful now, yes, though not in the sense of feeling bitter, only slight e-anger, because i wrote out a bunch of posts and most people lacked the reading comprehension to understand what i was saying.

why did so many people assume this was aimed directly at them? it's aimed at increasing awareness, it is aimed at everyone here, but to allow them to identify possible problems not just with themselves, but with their friends and acquaintances.

 

I think that it is foolish to attempt to increase awareness by taking an aggressive tact.

And the saying "expectations are premeditated resentments" is from a 12-step program, so I wouldn't expect you to comprehend its full implications.

And people will read into your posts what they will, because what is this objective reality if it isnt based on one's observations.

I have been to very many 12 steps and i didnt get anything from them other then hearing a couple of good "war stories".

weed stimulates reward pathways in the brain, it has a much higher potential for psychological addiction than most things.

my point has value, you are just too young/stupid to understand it, things aren't as black and white as you seem to think they are; a major component of cigarette addiction is the psychological addiction, it's not just the physical dependency on tobacco.

 

Categories are just terms of defining. We shouldn't live by them like it are dogma's. Just because it's not a physical addiction doesn't mean it can't have major consequences. Yes, it all depends on the person. No, it doesn't hurt to think objectively about the possibility you are maybe one of the few.
By immediatly get riled up when someone tries to tell you this (tactful or not, but not personal insulting, not even personal adressed) makes you seem very unwise in my opinion. Calling the unwise stupid, too young and worse doesn't help either. This thread is fucked. Caused by both sides. :cheers2:
