never bartended before. i would hate it. i hate customer service as it is, and if the customers were drunk it would be twice as bad.

i usually tip 50% or more at the bar, unless the bartender consistently ignores me.

 

How much is a pint of beer and what's the exchange rate?

Pint is $7.60 here, middy is $4.

Spirit + post mix is usually $6-8.

generally bars here don't sell by the pint; beers are usually 12 ounces. that could range anywhere from $1 to $4, depending on the quality and where you are.

$1 U.S. = $1.24572 aus.

so it looks like it's slightly cheaper here.

Yeah, I think it's a "mixed drink". Makes sense.

 

some places are more expensive. Bars/clubs downtown will often be $9+ for a mixed drink which is absurd... But some bars have $1 beer night for domestics and a bar downtown that I like has $1 whiskey drinks till midnight on Thurs. granted it's well whiskey but you still get sloshed.
