Battle Metal

Nah not really, just downloaded "Army of Darkness" having not heard this band before, and they're a bit heavier in their music than Battle Metal bands.

Try Moonsorrow, Turisas, Ensiferum, Finntroll. I'm not particularly into the genre myself but have heard more than a few Battle Metal songs through 'Hammer.

 

Ahh, Enseferum and Finntroll are names i'm familiar with. I get the whole battle metal thing now. There's so many sub-genre's of metal. They keep popping up out of no where
power metal, black metal, death metal, melodic death metal, thrash, death-thrash, heavy metal, tech metal, math metal, viking metal, grindcore, pornogrind, deathgrind and now battle metal. And no doubt i forget some too. It's rediculous.

 

doom metal, groove metal, prog metal, metalcore, industrial thrash metal....

mate, it's FOOKING ridiculous!! most of the new heavy metal bands sound the same as well!
