I love the words "anyway you'll never know, how many ways i've tried" but at the let it be-naked version, paul says "anyway you've always known, how many ways i've tried" original words are better, but sound is better at the let it be-naked version I think.
Soulseek, it's the best program out there... I found an incomplete version of 'Carnival of Light' on Soulseek, but it's only 1 minute long (maybe it's a hoax?). If you want to hear it, i can send it to you...
I really don't like "The Long and Winding Road" at all. I agree with you, Chuckles. I like Let it Be Naked.
I used to always say that Paul's solo work sucked, but I never actually listened to it. I imagine that's the case with just about everybody else too. Because it's so "unhip" to like Paul, or something.
You're so very right, unfortunately. Is it being disloyal to John, liking Paul as well? They respected and liked each other's work - I don't see why that shouldn't be the case for their fans. I'm a 'Paul person' I suppose you could say, but I love them all and certainly admire 'John people' who love them all, too.
I think they're great! Did a lot of reading and listening and they were ahead of their time when they came out with 'Revolver.' There are too many great songs by them for me to list my fave, love em all.
You must be clinically dead not to like Odladi Oblada. When Im Sixty Four is brilliant a pastiche of a thirties tune, it was written for his father and is just a wonderful pop song. Honey Pie is great. I have all the Beatles solo stuff, they have all done things that aren't great but they have also done great things that are largely ignored. For me the best solo album is Ram by Paul. Lennon: Old dirt Road Woman is the ****** of the world Woman out the blue Tight a$ Meat city Freda Peeple Paul: Back seat of my car Smile away Eat at home One more kiss Dear friend C moon Harrison: Lay his head All those years ago Not guilty Ringo: It don't come easy
