That's what rum and whiskey do to me. But from the sounds of it, you should've done what you do. He shouldn't be disrespecting like that.
gin tastes like twigs and leaves flavored vodka to me. i dig avery's beers but the less good ones i have tried are always a bit on the alcohol tasting side...not always a bad thing except when i am trying to enjoy a beer while relaxing.
I said I wasn't going to drink, but I lied. Right now I am drinking the 2013 batch of Southern Tier's 'Imperial Pumking' -- easily the most heavenly thing I have had out of a bottle. That's right, this is my favorite beer of all-time. Year after year this beer never fails. It's only August and this year's batch is already on the shelves. It's a bit spicier and the alcohol is more upfront compared to previous years, but it sort of harks back to the earlier versions in its rich pumpkin character. It's a bit like liquid pumpkin pie. The aroma of this beer is also out of this world. This beer never fails to get me fucked up -- not only because of its high alcohol content, but because I often drink it way too fast, as it is an extremely drinkable and very deceiving beer. I LOVE THIS SHIT!!!!
Me either. The first 5 or 6 pumpkin beers i had i didnt like. I kept on trying them though because i like pupkin pie so much that i figured there had to be one that recreates that pie taste. Finally found a couple that did.
I don't even think I like pumpkin pie. Honestly don't ever remember trying it. So maybe that explains the weirdness of pumpkin beer to me.
2 bottles of that Pumking and I was FUCKED UP last night. Of course I probably shouldn't have downed both 22 oz. bottles in an hour, but it's just too good. It's definitely the best pumpkin ale available. None of the others I have had even come close. Then again, this is an IMPERIAL pumpkin ale. Honestly, I am not a fan of pumpkin anything, but I love this beer.
Well, I'm jealous. The states seems to have a much wider selection of pumpkin flavoured beers than we do around here. And that one looks delicious. I'm drinking something for the first time called a Shawinigan Handshake. It kindda tastes a bit like bananas. The label says it's a pugnacious strong ale. It's not as strong as I thought, nor as dark as I anticipated. But anyway, it was a gift. The label is quite clever with Jean Chrétien strangling the devil :
drinking a saranac rye ipa right now. last beer of 6 or 8 that my father in law sent me home with when we visited 3 weekends ago. ..and now it's gone i could go for another
Dont know if i mentioned that i had "ghost face killah" recently its a beer made with 6 peppers including the ghost pepper. If your unfamiliar youtube that shit. Anyway not a good beer to drink if your looking for a buzz but it did taste good if you like hot ass drinks with not enough alcohol to cool your tounge
That looks interesting. On BeerAdvocate it's listed as a weizenbock, which would explain the banana notes.
I just had a couple pints of black pepper ale at a local brewery. It was.. interesting. I cleared the palette with some mosaic hop pale ale. The US has just as much if not more quality weed. You just have to be in the right place.
