they have star hills new variety pack out, i didnt feel like waiting in line but maybe i will pick it up tomorrow when i go out.
drinking pearl necklace by flying dog which is an oyster stout. they always sound bad but they are always decent or great.
i've tried a couple of pumpkin beers over the last couple of weeks. not too shabby, but neither were something i would want to drink very often. The Mill Street was better, but that might just be because I had it on tap and had the Black Creek in a bottle.
this needs to be more cloudy. thicker, more apple taste ,, to clear. fizzzy carbonated like cooler. not sour enough. hell I could leave a cider out on the table for week and get juiced from it.
Michigan-based Bell's Brewery finally distributes in NY state, so tonight I was finally able to pick up a six-pack of what is considered to be one of the best IPA's made in the US today: Two Hearted Ale. Scores a 95% "world class" rating on BeerAdvocate, making it the highest rated American IPA on that site: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/287/1093 I like it a lot, and I generally am not the biggest fan of IPA's. This one has a particular floral quality to it not found in other IPA's I've had, with a very citrusy and somewhat herbal hop profile. The subtleties in the finish make this beer stand out above the others. The bottling date is listed as 10/4, so this beer is just over two weeks old and thus VERY fresh!
I'm going to total wine tommorow after work. Anyone wanna recommend me something?? rat?? I was thinking maybe a 12 pack of coors light.. i'm kidding
It would be nice if you had a list of some of the beers your local store carries, then I would definitely be able to recommend one. But you are lucky to live in probably the best state in the country for craft brews.
If you select the Northridge, California store on the store locator on this site, theyll have all these beers at the store. idk if you wanna look through all of it though. but heres the link http://www.totalwine.com/
rolling, it would be a start if you said what beers you really like and what ones you really hate. it would also help if you did that grading by not being biased to brand names or size of breweries @pressed rat, i have had every bells beer that i have ever seen and i only didnt like one of them....uuuuhg and i dont remember which one. it was a style that i didnt like already though so i am guessing is was a lager but cant say for sure
come home from a night haunted house shit. drove 50miles to get there.. get home. drinks a BLACK AND TAN YAUENGLING.. and uke: uke: never again..
last night, after an afternoon of psychedelia, i settled in with a few glasses of Mark West Pinot Noir...along with some cannabis.
I am getting to the point where I don't tolerate any amount of alcohol. Now even three beers has me feeling like shit the next day, and it really fucks with my sleep, too.
