Selling out is when you give up your principals for profit. To know if someone is a sellout you would have to know what your principals were and that they profited by betraying them. So I guess the assumptions here were that as a black girl you must be anti-white people and that you are dating a white guy because he is rich. But again, this kind of thing is stupid and should just be ignored.

I was talking about stupid assumptions, I felt that actually pointing out how each part of that was a stupid assumption was long winded. It also assumes that if you see two people together of opposite sex then they must be a couple.

Haha, he's got you there. White girls can have curves too. But maybe she meant that they say they don't have curves. But when referring to prejudice you have to be careful of the wording or it can sound like it is your prejudice as well.

Here's something to think about: Why did you guys pick her up on that? I know the gramatical representation of her comment was slightly misleading but I assumed she was just having a little joke. Albeit not a very funny one. It is disconcerting to see the attitude of using one's time to accuse another of discrimination. And obviously if they like girls with curves then they would still like a curvy white girl? Or whatever "race"?

As she said, it's preference, which does involve discrimination. We discriminate over things all day every day, in a sense. It is when we discriminate against a person as a whole person and choose to view them differently, that is wht is unfair. Notice I said choose to view them. Not wanting to have a relationship with a skinny white girl is understandable from a lot of men's perspectives; assuming a person is a lower class than thou because they are a skinny white girl is when the problem arises.

More skinny white girls for the rest of us!
