Being a sellout

Dream, i thought you were a dude...but i agree it's a shame when other people get mad at you for chilling with a mixed group of people and sadly you usually get this disapproval from people you don't even know.

 

People always make problems, some will do it any way they can find it.

If it isn't race, it's class, if it isn't those; it's behavior, if it isn't that, it's looks, if it isn't that it's punctuation =P

I think we should all just be 'people'. All that equal rhetoric that feminists pushed for should be applied to how we refer to 'black people' as well. African American pisses me off too. If they were born in America they are an American. They just don't want to call them 'Black Americans' which is how they think of them in their culturally sterile private life. If they were born in Africa and BECAME an American citizen, THEN they are an African American.

Racism is still overwhelmingly present. Its just they're willing to bureaucratically go the extra mile to keep it around and keep it stamped into the minds of black men. Their unemployment rate is 16% vs everyone else which levels out to 9%. That is nearly double the national average. More of them and 'Mexican Americans' are arrested than white people by a BIG margin. Not only that you hear about a few house republicans coming out and saying that owners of businesses should be allowed to refuse them service. That's just obscene.

Blacks are equally and if not more racist against whites, and in the grand scheme of things they have every right to be. We treat them like shit, have for a really long time and keep them locked in squander. Some people are advancing though, and realizing that we cant go on with it forever. You just cant expect everyone to loose their intolerance at the same time I guess.

the black community have the right to treat every one of us like a piece of garbage?

Its more than a few rednecks bud, I've heard Caucasian people who refer to themselves as 'Not a racist', say racist things and make racist jokes. I'm talking people with smart phones and hybrids. Rednecks don't like anything that is foreign to them and probably always will.

Yes they have a right too. The way they treat us like shit is the only way that they can. Rude comments and judgmental behavior. We are doing it to them so much worse, by rule of the law. We bureaucratically screw them all the time. Whether its in the judicial system, or the employment sector...it doesn't take one long to find discrimination. I mean of course its going to seep out from under the rug every once in awhile.
