lol i think you got these backwards. vodka and gatorade is defintely gross and jack and coke is one of my favorite drinks!
i like me some wet pussy........in a shotglass. 2/3rds tequilla rose 1/3 phillips hot 100. Tastes like bubblegum! Also has a very pepto bismally pink color. worst for me would be Hot Damn and orange juice......fukn yuk!
vodka in general is usually pretty bad. i agree with whoever said irish carbombs are good, but you get MAJOR problems if you dont chug that shit IMMEDIATELY! if you like car bombs, try making them at home, get the ingredients yourself. three types of expensive booze mixed together at a bar will be way more expensive than it needs to be, honestly. if you're on a budget or dont drink much, get the pint bottles of irish whiskey and baileys. heres an amazing twist on the car bomb: instead of guinness draught, use youngs double chocolate stout. and instead of original baileys, use caramel baileys. trust me, you wont be dissappointed. youngs double chocolate stout is made, of course, with chocolate malt as one of the main flavoring agents, but unlike most chocolate stouts it actually has dark chocolate blended into it before fermentation, making it almost like drinking candy. people always talk about how irish car bombs taste almost like a chocolate shake. using youngs double chocolate stout (an english beer, this can only make the drink be called a car bomb, not irish ) and caramel baileys makes it taste almost EXACTLY like a shake! so tastey. still, my favorite mixed drinks remain the same, and do not involve beer hendrick's martini (hendrick's gin, vermouth, cucumbers for garnish): and an authentic mojito (rum, fresh mint, fresh lime, sugar, soda water): course i tend to use dark or aged rums rather than white rum...but a good mojito is one of the only ways to make white rum even approach being drinkable.
course some good mixed drinks involve beer....like a car bomb.... but i enjoy a nice black and tan or half and half and their many variations from time to time.
i havent had any hendricks in a long time. i'm gonna see if they have it at the bar near my dorm tonight. if its too expensive i'll just do a shot, but hopefully i can get a hendricks martini for 5 or 6 bucks...if its more than that, fuck it. edit: actually, i think i'll go now. its 7oclock after all. peace out folks. hopefully its not so super crowded as it was this afternoon
welp, i had my first two old fashioneds tonight...first one was great. second one, made by a new bartender, was a little bit too sweet but also great. now i know the recipe for an old fashioned is really variable, and i dont know which recipe was used for which drink. but both were nice. would have prefered it neat, though. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_Fashioned also had a stone ipa, a three floyds alpha kind (both of these are beers) as well as a solo shot of jagermeister
Bah, Irish Car Bombs are so delicious but sooo dangerous My least favorite combination is when you are in 6th grade and just take a lil bit of everything out of your folks liquor cabinet so it's like vodka, rum, red wine, white wine, beer and tequila all mixed together. Diisssggguuussting. Tastes like a Christmas tree.
when i was young and didnt know the difference between a liquor and a liqueur, i thought baileys was like liquor. WRONG! i also knew that coke was just about one of the most common things to mix liquors with. i didnt realize that coke was very acidic, and baileys was dairy based. in my ignorance, i found some of my parents baileys and mixed it with some coke. probably the worst drink of my life. of course it instantly curdled, and the flavors didnt go well together at all. one of the few drinks in my life that i flat out poured into the sink because it was THAT undrinkable
I enjoy combining fireball grain whiskey and some pepsi (1:2 ratio) it gives a pepsi with a rich cinnamon burn/taste. however, the combo doesnt work as nicely with coke for whatever reason
