Wow, southern rap, that shit is the gayest. Before anyone says anything, to each his own, if you like that stuff cool, i just don't like it. I've been listen to psy trance recently on my trips. Skazi kicks ass
BEFORE YOU SAID ANYTHING, YOU SHOULD HAVE THOUGHT THE SAME. I AGREE, TO EACH HIS OWN, BUT IF YOU THOUGHT THAT YOU SHOULD HAVE TAKEN YOUR OWN ADVICE, BUT I RESPECT EVERYBODY'S OPINIONS...IM NOT HERE TO START ARGUEMENTS OVER THE DAMN INTERNET.
All kinds of electronic stuff you can dance to is great. And I usually don't even dance. But fuck me in the ass and call me Johnny if Iggy Pop's "Lust for Life" isn't a fucking superboost on E. Hell yeah.
i like listening to dose one when i'm rolling. or anything involving dose one, like Subtle, 13&God, Greenthink... the beats are crazy and his weird rapping style and occasional singing just boggles my mind.
The Prodigy - Breathe... first time i rolled! Omg! Now I am the biggest fan of prodigy for years.. and it opened up a new feel to the song.
anything at a good old rave. raves are really the only place i enjoy rolling. other places i dont think its worth the money.
i cant help but like folk, bluegrass-y stuff like Avett Brothers, Ben Harper, Jack Johnson.. just things i can chill to. i listened to Modest Mouse the other day and actually enjoyed them. the bad thing about music while rolling is that if you hear something you dont like, you really hate it. it makes me really angry when bad music comes on. i want to rip my ears out. i hate how i pick apart music when i roll.
Great post. Took the words right out of my mouth. Though I'm not a huge folk fan, I do love my Bluegrass, Newgrass, & Slamgrass. The Avett Brothers kick almighty ass live!
oh yes. ;] Avett bros are up there on my favorites list. it also helps that they're from my home town. am i the only one that finds consecutive beats and rhythms annoying after awhile? techno music is great, dont get me wrong, but i seem to enjoy it more when i'm not rolling. certain genres of techno dont irk me as much. it's the stuff that doesnt switch up and take me on a musically adventure. i have to have music that incorporates different instruments, sounds, vocals.. something to keep my mind thinking.
Red, Red Wine by Bob Marley on repeat. & Heroin by Velvet Underground. It's incredible when you play them simultaneously.
imogen heap-hide and seak , radiohead(ok computer, kid a, amnesiac, hail to the thief, in rainbows), tiesto elements of life in particular, armin van buuren has some wicked 'a state of trance' episodes out 289 is my fave, house.. house.. electro house, electro, benassi!, beirut, sufjan, stevens basically everything i listen to sober.. with more emphasis on a couple.
