When it comes right down to it, WHAT right does ANYONE have to tell someone else HOW they should live THEIR lives?

MYOB, pal, and look in the mirror at YOURSELF, once in awhile, and REALLY see yourself for what you REALLY are (or aren't)..................

They can cry foul all they want, and it changes nothing... and that's what they don't understand. You try to suppress human nature, and it refuses to comply; you use words to minimize a part of nature that you were taught not like or agree with... and it has changed nothing. I'm not saying if you can't beat them, join them but I would say that they should stop trying to beat us because they have consistently failed, and the proof is not everyone is heterosexual.

When you're filled with self-righteous indignation, you presume that you do, in fact, have the right to tell someone how to live their life and as outlined in "the good book." The US Constitution says that everyone has the right to free speech and so many use that right to tell others how to live their lives. Now, you can either argue with these people or you can ignore them and go on about your life and if they want to interfere, well, it's gonna suck to be them.

Sure, except other people listen to their deranged moralization, are influenced by it and vote for politicians and laws. The sexually morality obsessed are a minority but they are sure loud. The contrary position must be made just as loud and in fact louder.
I'm all for letting things happen and letting people do their own thing but those people in effect impose on the people they don't like.

.....I'm willing to wager that (regardless of the situation) MORE than a few of the (narrow-minded) self-righteous indeed have skeletons of their own in their closets........BUT, if they "point fingers" at others (for whatever the ignorant reason) it "takes the heat" off of them, the better to appear oh-so-very-pious and self-righteous...............sadly, hypocriscy knows no limits........:(

Of course they have whole cemeteries hanging out in their closets; they wouldn't be human if they didn't. But whatever they're busting your ass about, it ain't about them - it's all about you so having a cemetery or two hiding in the cut, well, that's different. And you're right - they do use misdirection so that you don't suspect - or mention - that they're "dirtier" than you are. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black...

    Agreed 100%.

Recall, also, our discussing awhile back, "let he who is without sin cast the first stone"?

How quickly the self-righteous holy rollers sweep that one under the carpet............

I'd LOVE to hit a self-righteous holy roller with this one:

"If Jesus was still walking the Earth, would he cast a stone at a gay or a bisexual man, or would he embrace him as a brother?"

Man, I'd LOVE to hear the answer they'd come back with, after some initial stuttering, hemming, and hawing.........;)

I'm pretty sure some of them wouldn't hesitate to say Jesus would beat the shit out of a queer person. Sadly they see the Lord as cruel and violent against anyone who's "different."

Amazing how religion can preach peace, love, and tolerance while being perfectly okay to employ extreme violence against those who are different, huh? Just an opinion but I think that Jesus would have embraced him as a brother rather than to stomp a mudhole in the different guy's ass. Using violence invalidates everything He preaches; can you really love thy neighbor by sticking a knife in his back for being different in some way?

Sadly, I agree with you all the way.

As we've discussed at length elsewhere, "holy rollers" yjink nothing of literally re-writing the Bible (especially the Old Testement) and using the passages to pronote hate and intolerance, instead of brotherhood and love.

    Talk about blasphemy...............:(:smilingimp:

You and I, once again, are indeed on the same page.

I was raised that Jesus was our FRIEND, and NOT our ENEMY.

"Love They Neighbor"........sure, as long as he's NOT different from you.:(

Talk about hypocriscy and "PUB" (Pure Unadulterated Bullshit).........:(

    I was raised quite simply:

".....treat others as you wish to be treated......"

Can't get more simpler than that!

Sadly, with some (too many) misguided people, the simplest tasks are all too often virtually impossible to undertake.............

As I have said before, I truly believe that the ULTIMATE blasphemy is to use your "faith" to preach hatred and intolerance in Jesus' name.............

This topic is better suited for the holy roller topic, isn't it?

Thinking about gay/bi men and aging.............

If the fates grant that such a fellow is still in decent health at age 90, AND, he s STILL getting action, more power to him.....he is indeed more fortunate than he realizes!;)
