Probably, although some say that he was married to Mary Madelene. Some Theologians say that the wedding celebration was his own, but then his mother would not have spoken the way that she did because it was not the social norm at the time.

But if he was not a virgin and he was married to Mary, then it would not have been a sin.

    I agree, although I wouldn't say "probably".

If the Wedding at Cana was his own then the Evangelist would have said so. If it was changed by later scribes and theologians to "hide the true relationship" why didn't they just remove the whole thing.

In Matthew he even says that those who "made themselves eunichs [a euphemism for celibate] for the kingdom of heaven. Let anyone who can accept this who can". St Paul also writes that it is better to remain single like he himself did. the unmarried person is anxious to serve the Lord (but marriage itself is not bad, but one of the two Sacraments of Service of the Community; the other being Holy Orders)

So eternal hellfire is not merely a novelty cooked up to make Christianity seem "nicer" or "less judgmental".

So you think making life hard for us and burning us in eternal hellfire makes God happy? An interesting God you worship. (1 Timothy 1:11) ;)

I would say that the term "hellfire" does not exist in the bible, which, as you say, makes it pretty much nonexistent, at least for those who take the Bible's word for it. ;)

Degradation had no words. But as long as we wanted to be appropriate, then the words linked up along the page even without end, and the appropriate behavior was beyond the capacities for Nature to heal.

    Any Krishnamurtri quotes?

In the same way also, unless YOU through the tongue utter speech easily understood, how will it be known what is being spoken? YOU will, in fact, be speaking into the air. (1 Corinthians 14:9)
