    The Big Lebowski is actually a very smart, extremely funny commentary on the Gulf War. Walter representing the troops, the nihilists and porn star representing the bad guys/leaders of the USA, and The Dude representing the people. Great film, great message.

    The Dude character is a modern take on Jesus Christ as well.

    Hands down favorite movie of all time. The dialogue is just absolutely brilliant. It's like nothing else. My favorite quote is this one
    "Also, let's not forget - let's *not* forget, Dude - that keeping wildlife, an amphibious rodent, for uh, domestic, you know, within the city - that aint legal either." Its fucking brilliant, and John Goodman's delivery is beyond amazing. It cracks me up every single time.
    I actually changed one of the trivia facts on IMDB for this movie. That's how well I know it.
