oh was i? http://lfpress.ca/newsstand/News/CanadaWorld/2008/12/20/7811731-sun.html look for that "partial" to go out the window sometime between now and march 31,if not soon after march 31.. it WILL happen.
That is highly unlikely to happen. If it were, it would be negotiated right now. The option of shareholding stocks does not involve direct management control over the company, it's simply government investment much like Petro-Canada was here in Canada. Your Social Security Pensions were invested in oil company stocks, just like the government will have the option of investing SSPs into an auto-manufacture company. It's a good idea, and diverts profit from falling into the hands of wealthy nameless, faceless wealthy persons and puts the profits of working factory people back into the same pensions they work for. The private sector in the USA has failed to meet the expectations of certain services to its citizens. In most ways, the public sector should be providing sufficient services to close in the gap. This, in my view, is one of them.
i never said it was good or bad, right or wrong just that it would happen. time will tell how far it goes.. lets see where things stand in 6 months... some sort of nationalization on some level WILL take place. i stand by my prediction.. once again,if im wrong then feel free to call me out on it but i dont believe i will be..
i dont know if anyone else saw this but it was pretty funny. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oetNPJJcuAE "I've Abandoned Free Market Principles To Save the Free Market System"
Don't you want to grab one of his big ears and scream "Mr. Dickhe, er, Mr. Bush, don't you think it's a little LATE for that???"
Well with the reports that Toyota is in the red, it appears it's not just a problem for US manufacturers.
