I have some questions. What apps do you guys use if you use bitcoin wallets on your phone? And do you have several addresses or just one? Do you memorize it and reuse the same one? Also, on bitvisitor it said it would send payment every 100 ubtc and I have 103 and still it doesnt show in my wallet. I tried looking it up but I'm not finding definitive answers.

I use bitcoin-qt w/encryption on PC. For mobile I use localbitcoins online wallet or other such similar services. U tend to sacrifice some security for mobility but 2 factor authentication is pretty secure as long as you don't let ur SIM card get cloned .

With bitcoin-qt u can generate as many addresses as you want...12-16 character pseudorandom number for a password. Avoid dictionary passwords or passwords with ambiguous characters (0 and O etc...) and as always don't store the password in bitcoin-pwd.txt in /usr/home...make them have to obtain physical access if they wanna steal your money! Storing passwords in another file with strong encryption as well would be acceptable as long as you don't make the file name be an obvious target and of course a different password to encrypt it triple AES or something equally secure with a key length no less than 128-bits...that should survive the nuclear holocaust ;)

Ur shit is secure as long as you don't deal with the wrong people...start dealing with lots of online and escrow type services and that's probably where you will find security problems. My password won't be found in any dictionary, not even a clever one.

If anyone knows of a better mobile app without sacrificing security for mobility as much...I'm all ears.

Do keep in mind that 2-FA (2 factor authentication) could theoretically break plausible deniability !

I don't remember exactly how big it is now but it's a few gigabytes

Nope, sold the miner some months ago. I had a KnC Jupiter and at this point it would mine 0.03 BTC a day. Mind you that at one point it mined 1 BTC a day!
Also cancelled my order for the KnC Neptune, because I don't think it will make its ROI.
Got a Scrypt miner in preorder though, from Alpha Technologies.

Done with bitcoin mining for a while, difficulty is just going insane....

I'm a crypto nerd but I figured out that since all cryptos so far can be hoarded and speculated on, and are essentially pump and dump ponzi schemes, the'll all bubble up and eventually either bust, or go the way of the dollar, moving all of the wealth from the bottom to the top.

I'm kicking around ideas of a ground level, fair crypto that uses community consensus as a centralizing entity that agrees to peg it a set value. Demurage could discourage hoarding and encourage currency flow. There could also be incentives for miners, AND users. The idea being to create a stable currency that anybody can get into without taking a risk like one does when using a crypto that's being gambled with on a massive scale.

I'm still working out the deails and it may never work, but if we don't try, we're just going to keep repeating the boom bust cycles and continue moving resources from the bottom to the top. Any currency that inherently creates a bottom to top wealth shift will just exacerbate our problems as a society. We need to shift towards equal to prevent a nasty, violent revolution.

Last week, I made a 12 key chording keyboard. My friend has slick chording software. He dropped off a beagle bone black and a trezor today. I'm going to package it all with a little screen and figure out a mini linux UI so it can either use the chording keyboard and mini screen to do simple stuff like sending emails and crptos. The thing will also plug into a monitor, usb keyboard/mouse, and a power supply to become a mini pc the size of a box of cigarrettes that only pulls 5 watts and runs full linux. I should be at the pic stage in a week or so. I'm juggling all kinds of projects right now but making baby steps at all of them.

Need to come up on some herbs and get some rest before I stroke out though!
