Does anybody else here see 'the media' doing this?

About your convictions about everything BLM: have you considered the possibility that its not one big uniform group? And that the ones affiliated with it or affiliate themselves with it and act retarded get more attention than the reasonable ones (certainly on the internet but probably also in tv shows that depend on drama )?

I have to laugh when 6eyed says 'do you believe everything you read'. If anyone sounds like they're getting influenced by the media it is him. Not that he takes everything at face value! But it still looks like he's being played when I read most of his threads in the news forum.

I couldn't find any BLM statements anywhere that condoned the attack on this guy...maybe someone else can enlighten me.

Not at all, really? He said you and yours don't say shit about worse crimes committed. How would he know? What exactly is me and mine? Does he know the colour of my skin? We are talking about this incident. It is a racist act and is about colour of ones skin. The people who did this made it about hating white people and they picked someone weaker and white to do this to. It is a black and white issue, pretending it is not and sweeping it under the rug won't change that. The guy who this was done to thought he had a friend and certainly did not judge the guy by his skin colour... in the future he will?

Don Lemom from CNN says this was not an evil act, these kids were not raised right, blame the parents and asked where are the guardians of these kids?

18 - 24 year old have guardians? Are people suppose have compassion for the poor adults who don't have guardians?

Symone Sanders (BLMsupporter, black activist) on CNN panel said this was not a hate crime and that Donald trump is to blame, which is something the criminals said in their tape. She had seen the tapes and is now retracting statements. Do you need links to videos?

This is taking the responsibility and crime committed away from the ones who did it and laying the blame at someone else's door..And it is put on a white man... again this creates a racial divide ... does not improve matters at all.

Obama says race relations are getting better and that this crime did not create a bigger divide but has brought the racial divide to the attention of the people didn't notice and stated that it has always been there.

Who is he kidding!? How does this make it better? That is like saying the shooting of an unarmed black person by a white cop improves relations... it doesn't

The media has called the victim a white disabled man (he is 18) and repeatedly calls the perpetrators in this TEENS, (18 - 24) avoiding mention of the colour of their skin in the beginning, because the recording was not released and not wanting to point out that this crime was racially motivated by black people..Yet could and did say a white MAN was tortured.

 

I must ask; just because some Black Lives Matter protest rallys are tame and harmeless, does it justify the ones that result in violence, blocking ambulances and emergency vehicles, destruction of brick-and-mortar businesses, turning black neighborhoods to rubble, and flooding social media with anti-white racist statements and celebrating the death of law enforcement in the name of Black Lives Matter?

If the Tea Party or the Occupy movement did anything like that, the media and this forum would be much less apologetic.

 

Of course it doesnt justify it. Thats my point, you have to separate the violent from the non violent. They're not conspiring together.

 

Just as a side note, the tea party mostly consisted of well-off and wealthy republicans. Rich people dont generally riot.

When black lives matter makes apology statements for destroying race relations in this country. And transforms into an organization that actually helps build better schools in black communities to help disadvantaged black youth better themselves. Then maybe I might start taking their statements of remorse more seriously.

 

If only they'd step up and march for babies being killed in the crossfire of gang disputes as well. Instead all we get are crickets.

And I have seen a number of folks in this thread "quoting" the BLM charter for it's claims to non-violence. It reminds me of several sections of a book written by an Austrian author. It was called "My Struggle". Does anyone know how to say that in German?

It doesn't matter who delivers the message of hate. Hate is hate. For God's sake folks, focus on the actual hate more and the messenger less.

And when Trump supporters start issuing apologies for his stupid statements and tweets, then maybe I'll start taking Trump supporters more seriously. In fact, while we are at it, lets just lump together everyone of similar race, religion, sexual orientation, country of origin, organizational membership or whatever the hell. That way, when someone does something outrageous, we'll know which group to condemn.

I belong to the local astronomy club (I'll keep their name out of this), a group of mostly white men. I imagine that there are racist astronomers somewhere out there. So, I'd like to take this moment to apologize on their behalf for the shootings of unarmed black men that have occurred over the decades. I hope this helps in some way.

 

Maybe this will make sense to some people... black lives matter is offensive... just like white supremest is offensive. It lets people know that they are not welcome based on the ethnicity or background one comes from. When you exclude people based on this it creates a divide. It is like drawing a line and saying stay on your side of the fence, do not communicate, do not be a part of this community because you are not welcome. The name says it all. Black lives matter, I think people's lives matter... all people. For there to be a true understanding of one another there can not be a divide like that. To read the BLM website and to see it refer to white supremest when referring to people of specific skin colours in a manager, supervisor or government position makes some people feel shame when the person has no reason to feel shame. What about an ideology or movement called White People Matter? Or White liberation movement, what does this name say to you?

The people who did this should feel shame for what they did, yet they laughed and were quite proud of themselves. Does this reflect on all black people? Are black / white people ashamed that someone from their background or neighbourhood would do such a thing? I am ashamed .... this was barbaric ... do we put these people in a box and say but they grew up in poverty, they were not parented properly, they came from broken homes, they grew up in a ghetto... they are a product of their environment. That is like saying it is not their fault when it is their fault.

Are we not all representatives of mankind? Our actions reflect on society as a whole and the humanity we show. One race, mankind I think this video was humanity at its best. Perhaps Humanity isn't compassionate or kind, humanity is the condition of being human, Dog eat Dog. Take out the weaker. you are different from me. These people showed this mentality.

Perhaps to understand mankind we need to break it up into syllables. MANK IND

As for giving to the family, I already donated. Not because he is white but because this was awful hate crime and I hope he and his family find some peace of mind and get everything they need. Help for their son.
