I play Mousetrap and Snakes & Ladders with the kids. I also like chess, checkers, Scrabble and Boggle.
My hubby and I like to play Scrabble, Rummicube, Yahtzee, Uno, Battleship, checkers, Jenga, and Trivial Pursuit, plus good old fashioned card playing. I know the question was about board games, but I had to add the others in anyway. I play Candy Land, Chutes and Ladders, Hungry Hippos, Elefun and Crocodile Dentist with my kids. Not all of those are actually board games though either. Just calling attention to the fact that we don't always need video and computer games to entertain.
Oooh, I always loved Mouse Trap! I'm going to have to get that one for my oldest son sometime. I *think* he still might be too young yet. Not sure of the starting age group it is targeted to.
i love board games... Sorry Life Guess Who (not really a board game) Spite and Malice (again not really a board game) Scrabble (yeah, i can spell surprised huh) Triominos (not really a board game either) Trouble Trivia Pursuit Monopoly
The most recent boardgame I played was Cranium with my aunts and cousins. I was kind of skeptical and not looking foward to it but it ended up being pretty fucking fun. It was great.
I love board games. When I was a kid, I used to spend the night at my grandma's house almost every weekend and we'd sit around playing games until I practically fell asleep at the table. I don't play hardly at all anymore because no one really likes to around here. I like: Monopoly Scrabble Life BattleShip Chess Trivial Pursuit (specifically the 90's edition) Clue Uno Skip-Bo Euchre Spoons (OMG, that is the best game to play when you're drinking with lotsa people!) Phase 10 I know some of the those are card games, but I really enjoy those a lot.
I haven't played them in ages... my family's too small for games and I don't have people over enough. I played mousetrap and hero quest a lot as a kid (hero quest is basically D&D with a board), and clue, and monopoly heck, I should go out and buy a couple games so I have somethign to do when I do have people over. fun ones though. hrm.
