I loved the ratdog show, not just the music, which was good, but it was such a good vibe there. The whole bonnaroo this year I thought was just in a good place. and I got to say hello to olhippie for 2nd year in a row!! amazing!! I had great camping neighbors and just really enjoyed this year. I liked the cloudiness and even the rain, kept the extreme heat away. Wanted to see Drive by Truckers and John Prine who were on at the same time, and managed to see parts of both shows. And many other good shows, as far as my energy would take me. Naps helped. All in all a great Roo, though my giant bottle of Jack Daniels did get sacrificed to the search on the way in. No matter, I've carried that bottle around for a year and never drink it, so hope someone enjoyed it.
Someone told me that the drive down there is pretty intense....in terms of the highways you're on. [coming from east coast] What's everybody's view on that?
we came from NY, the drive was actually beautiful and quite pleasant as long as u obey the speed limit
Thanks.. He said there were lots of decisions to make. So, that made me think about what the drive was like; he said washington DC was hectic.
I totally saw naked guy, me and some friends talked to him right after he was flying his kite, we got him to run around the sonic forest jumping up and down and weaving through groups of people, I kept runnin in to him the last night the cops made him put his pants on.
I saw Ol Hippie too, but was too spun out to say something! I ate shrooms all weekend. I ended up running around naked for a couple hours thrusday! What was everyones camp site name. I was in Ed Rooney.
i was in camp skywalker, did anyone see the guy with the microphone on his head walking around and recording everything around him
I dont know what campsite but i was back past the pond. Kinda back there not in the corner but close.
my camp was around a lot of austin powers names, but we didnt know how to say ours....come to think of it maybe it was just the drugs. I think the best part about this years roo fest was standing in the field waiting for dave mathews and listening to the Sublime cd on the speakers, there were thousands of people just standing in that field singing to a sublime cd, it was BEAUTIFUL the feeling was sublime. i didn't even stick around for dave, hes a bitch.
I don't remember the exact name of my camp, it was number 66, Dr. Statz or something weird like that..
our camp was Griswald, past the lake on the right (long walk from centeroo) the environment is just hard to describe, so great - i wasnt ready to leave.
Hell yeah i was out there. I caught the dave show with i thought was awesome. Then end was great. The next night he played at verizon wireless in indianapolis and he played his new album and it wasnt as well recieved as his show at the roo. But Thats just from some friends of mine. It was a great week
the whole time I thought I was in Chewbacca camp, and really was in Hans Solo. story of my life, I try to be wookie, and end up cleancut. Those Bonnaroo maps are so backward, they're upside down in fact. I wasn't the only one who thought that either. I had some of the greatest neighbors though, a great cross section of America, there were license plates from at least 6 states right around me, and all wonderful people.
