we only know a small slice of the others lifes. Furthermore a few posters try to build an on-line identity which is different from their real life identity. Maybe I'm a dog or you are a fifty year old man with a huge belly . We don't know.

I've met a few people I know from the internet (no, not what you think ;-), bloggers for example. Sometimes that was a little bit disappointing, because I already know what happened to them the last week or so. On the other hand they don't know much about me, because I don't blog. Information imbalance.

But all in all the internet is a marvellous thing. Twenty years ago it was far more difficult to chitchat with people from the opposite side of earth.

I'm not an expert at this. And to be honest, it's hard work for me to transform my thoughts into precise english. So, if you have a concrete question, it's a pleasure for me to try an answer.

I remember your questionnaire. Have you an idea about how the answers are biased by the expectations of the participants? Nobody likes to admit that he or she is building a different identity or image used for on-line activities. Even if we don't do it consciously we behave slightly different than in real life I guess.
