Well actually I believe that it may be sacrilegious to say so, I think that perhaps you should go and wash your mouth out with soap whilst reading Tolkiens masterpiece (otherwise known as The Lord of the Rings). p.s. Enjoy p.p.s Definatly a book first person
I always read the book first and then go see the movie. I always notice, however, that even if I like the way they portrayed the book on the big screen I'm still very much disappointed. But that makes sense, too, since you're seeing the book from someone else's P.O.V. And not everyone's going to see one book the same way, right? So I do give those guys credit for at least trying. It's hard work trying to make a film everyone will like, much less a film that's based off of a book.
Depends really. If the movie is based on the book, read the book first. That way some of the things that take place in the movie make more sense. If the book is based on the movie, see the movie first. Though I've yet to see a movie under either circumstances that was better than the book.
I'd probably just read the book. You just can't beat your own imagination. Although, if I had to watch the movie, then I'd watch it first and read the book afterwards because the film wouldn't be so disappointing.
People are absolutely insane. Reading the book first almost always ensures a crappy movie. If you see the movie first, you can get a good movie and an even better book.
