Given the guys age and rank why did he have such access to what now seems a whole bunch of stuff a lot of other people had anyway

Well he wont do 52 years anyway, as he's now basically a political prisoner

But it seems like its been very overinflated in the first place

Well if he does go to prison so should the murderers flying that apache helicopter. So should George Bush and Tony Blair for starting illegal wars and killing hundreds of thousands of innocent men, women and children in the process.

Locking a guy up for exposing the turth about the people we elect as thugs, liars and criminals?

They want to send a message to all of us, and that message is to be scared for exposing the lies and tyranny. The most dangerous threat to our government is our knowledge of their very own behavior. We need to vote these fucking yellow belly pussies out of office and reclaim our country. The last line still sings "Home of the brave"

In the name of every man, women and child who ever died for this great country... For those that haven't yet... Grow a set of balls!

Lock up the real murders this means you Mr.Bush, Dick Cheney... Starting wars for profit... he's just mad his daughter gets more pussy then he does... 250 million get out of jail free card, guilty are we? what a real criminal!

When are we the people going to deal with the real threat to the united states rather then beleive in and be fooled by the smoke and mirriors from the real criminals. I'd say put me on your list but the nation is already on it. whatever happened to innocent til proven guilty? how about a fair and speedy trial... this guy has been locked up for 8 months with nothing! WTF! that isn't america and those actions aren't american. You people who support their bullshit propaganda are the real threats to our still great nation. WAKE UP AMERICA and speak up before we lose that right to!

The media should be supporting these guys for their true journalism rather then being lead like sheep by their corporate "government" run outlets. This means you MSNBC, FOX, CNN... spread the lies some more, your half ass journalism is where part of the problem started. You want the truth! yup! you guessed it... you can't handle the truth anymore.. just get your fat lazy asses thru the scanner so the molesters can feel your privates up. The nazis are back!

The problem with voting out the criminals is that it's likely other criminals who will be voted in... the list of major party candidates is arguably well represented by corporate influence even before the candidate in question take the first oath of office.

True reform MAY be possible from the voting booth but ONLY if we follow through and pay attention to what they do after the ensuing January 20th... there are countless pledges to "clean up government" made for the purpose of getting into office which are swiftly abandoned because the inattentiveness of the voter in the United States has become legendary.

They key to actually taking the country back must involve keeping informed... which Wikileaks seems a unique means of accomplishing this- no wonder the witch hunt against Assange and Manning.

You have plenty of support for your opinion from corrupt governments and corporations, you do not need to drum any more up here.

He took an oath, and he betrayed that oath. That makes him a traitor. He should get everyday of that 52 years.
Were he a civilian, I would appalaud his action. Be he's not-- he's military, he agreed not to do what he did, and did it anyway.
If he pleads not guilty, than this was a mercenary act, not an act of conscience.

That said, I'm glad he did it. Hooray Wikileaks--

It's up to the people to stand up against the Government, not our own military.

Could you name a few corporation's and governments that want to see him hang?
Good grief, lets not be too dramatic.

Anybody who expects to stand up against the government needs the military on their side; this seems to be generally historically true. When there is a powerful, well-trained and well-equipped military, the people cannot stand up against it, especially today. As far as Manning goes, there's a big political sillygame brewing up around him. I have no idea who he is really, or why he did what he did, and I'm sure not choosing sides.

I wasn't addressing you... I'm well aware of your feelings about Assange and can imagine they're not all that different for Manning.

No, let's not be too dramatic... after all it's only a source of unadulterated information that is at stake, nothing serious. Of course there are those who advocate lynching... and that's not overly dramatic?

Great point! You'll have to admit that, Odon.

    Yes. It is very dramatic.
Also saying governments and corporations wanted him hung is too.
I just thought it would be fair for you to name a few of these governments and corporations.
I'm sure there are a few who advocate hanging him.
That doesn't equate to whole governments and corporations does it?
If you want to ignore my question, fair enough.

He's diverting from the question I asked, though.
I wasn't talking about the information that has been leaked right now.

Funny how you only seem to demand proof for arguments coming from one side of the argument. In truth, my words were speculative, of course there's not going to be any blatant proof that governments and corporations want him hanged... any such proof can be used against the entity advocating the lynching furnishing proof of what the whole mess likely is- a witch hunt.

I'm diverting? Funny, the premise you seem to operate from that people "owe" you explanations supporting their opposing points of view. I seem to recall you advocating the discrediting Assange's Wikileaks for little reason beyond him giving you the "creeps".

If it is just a point of view, fair enough.
    I didn't say I disagreed with you.
I just asked you to be a little more specific.
